My guess is S/w has to do with BMS given that heating the battery just got 3x more efficient. So maybe specific to heat pump models? Maybe they got something with a regen algo tweak, but i think they probably already squeezed a lot out of that.

Buying decisions are made on emotion and justified with fact :) A 24 is a solid option. There were minor updates to the 25 but IMO not $3600 of value over 18 months. (basically maybe a snappier ui (current one is fine) and heat pump. (Same net range cause battery is smaller)

My guess is potholes that are deep / sharp enough more likely to cause a pinch flat than what you ran into. Rocks off skyline IIRC are relatively soft a crumbly (still harder than aluminum), so probably the effect was more like curbing your wheels than diving into a pothole with 5000 lbs...
