    Lucid Air 2.8.9

Wasn't aware there were different versions of the old CCC. My early 2023 build car had tolerable lag but CCCv2 is a clear improvement. Maybe I'm just impatient.

    Lucid Air 2.8.9

Not the screens themselves - the infotainment computer.

    Software Version 2.8.7

This behavior I’ve noticed for a while across many software versions. Just a guess but my car appears to reboot itself periodically even while parked and sometimes it happens to be doing this when I need to go somewhere.

DIY: fix the buzzing window switches- eliminate noise from window switch lights in 10 minutes!

OK, I tried this and there is indeed a large decrease in the window switch whine. Perhaps there is room for improvement in my technique. I'll continue to fiddle with it - but this still made a huge difference for me. Thank you!

    Software Version 2.8.7

Just had this happen on the highway. No change in car behavior, just the center dash screen was black. I took an exit, stopped at a light, switched to Park and the screen instantly came on. MY2023 AT with DD Pro, CCCv2.

    Integrated Dashcam?

No, not yet. No ETA we know of.

DIY: fix the buzzing window switches- eliminate noise from window switch lights in 10 minutes!

There were two distinct high pitched noises. One was indeed the screens but Lucid fixed that in a firmware update some time back. The other one remains the window switches, in both Air and Gravity.

DIY: fix the buzzing window switches- eliminate noise from window switch lights in 10 minutes!

Will try this out! Any recommendations for a specific felt tape? If this works you are my hero!

    High-pitched ringing noise

If they just let us turn off those window switch lights I’d be happy…

    High-pitched ringing noise

I asked my service center when I had my CCC upgrade done and they told me there is no fix for this as compared to my 2023 car.

    High-pitched ringing noise

I would love to find a Lucid that doesn't have it! Either Air or Gravity - every single one I've sat in has it. @borski If you're ever incredibly bored, feel free to record audio right by your window switches when their lights are on, do an FFT, see if there's that spike in the power spectrum...

    High-pitched ringing noise

That’s encouraging! Here’s hoping there has been a change in the switch design and your car got a mix of old and one new switch…

    Air 2.8.4 software update

Same here, the logic seems give CarPlay priority when the infotainment decides whatever was last playing. Even if it doesn't necessarily make sense, such as if I'd had a YouTube video paused. On the plus side I have not observed a Spotify crash so far.

    Air 2.8.4 software update

iOS 26 here too and no such issues with my Lucid app.

    Air 2.8.4 software update

I am now installing this update and the release notes are exactly as posted.

    Tidal problem last few days

Weird, this sort of crash happens with Spotify too. Since it appears the invidual vendors maintain their own apps (why else would the Tidal and Spotify apps differ so much?), I would have guessed it was Spotify's fault, but maybe there is some issue on the Lucid infotainment side common to both...

    Air 2.8.4 software update

Release notes for the next Air update which is publicly available on Lucid's website if you know where to look. Don't know if it has even started rolling out yet, but I look forward to having it in the coming weeks. (I will patiently wait and NOT contact customer service about it.) Hoping the...

    Next OTA Update

That and the Spotify crashes. But to be fair 2.8.0 was a big update.

Engineering Explained is now a Lucid owner?

Hopefully his next is a Gravity!

    WSJ Review of Gravity

If you like hip-hop or electronic music, the original level of bass on SSP was simply not in keeping with how this music is meant to be experienced. I get the sense that Air was engineered for your favorite type of music, but it excluded a lot of people.
