    RESOLVED Android Auto Thursday

Traditional marketing costs cash, and Lucid needs to be conservative with its cash outlays. So you can understand the lack of traditional marketing. What Musk did was build a buzz for Tesla without spending a lot of money. And it worked for Tesla. At this point, many of us would prefer Lucid...

    RESOLVED Android Auto Thursday

Maybe Lucid trying to get ChatGPT to add Android Auto. They just haven't found the right prompt yet. Lucid software takes the opposite approach of Tesla and Elon Musk. In the past, Musk has built buzz for Tesla with many statements about upcoming Tesla software releases. He committed to future...

    RESOLVED Android Auto Thursday

I saw this today about Lucid entering the Chinese market. ----- Lucid Group is preparing to enter China, its head of China operations, Zhu Jiang, said today (June 8). https://qz.com/us-luxury-ev-maker-lucid-sales-china-1850517962 ----- The Chinese are overwhelmingly Android users. So perhaps...

    RESOLVED Android Auto Thursday

You can argue about development priorities, but the lack of official communication on Android Auto from Lucid is inexcusable. We can only assume that Lucid development is actually presently working on implementing Android Auto. Android Auto is supported by over 60 other vehicle manufacturers...

    Cruise Control Issue

Lexus driving characteristics are both well-designed and rock solid. Lexus vehicles do lane centering just about everywhere that lanes are clearly visible without any geo-fencing. Lane departure gives an audible warning and a vibration on the steering wheel, but it does not try to steer itself...

    Cruise Control Issue

Cruise control and highway assist might work as Lucid intends it presently with stopped traffic, but both definitely do not work to the driver's expectations. That makes Lucid's implementation of cruise control dangerous. The camera and/or front sensors can certainly detect a stopped vehicle as...

    RESOLVED Android Auto Thursday

Use whatever adjective you would like to describe the lack of parity in development for Android users, but to us Android users it is distressing. There's zero reason that we still don't have widgets after it's been available to iOS users for months, other than Lucid sees Android development as...

    2.0.56

Why does Lucid make us guess on what issue has been fixed? It's infuriating that they make owners play a guessing game like this. Lucid, please, please be more explicit in your release notes. Tell us what issue you fixed please.

    Shoutout to the mobile app

Us poor folks using Android still don't have widgets. And the color of the car in the app is silver, not the color of our car. I don't know if any other app features are not available for Android users. If you use an Android phone, you should know that your mobile app is not a priority for...

    RESOLVED Android Auto Thursday

You would think that Android Auto would be easier to implement on an Android vehicle stack, right? The implementation and delivery of Android Auto should not be tied to Apple CarPlay. Lucid's communication on its software development is mediocre at best. Customer surveys always show that...

    Lucid Public Charging Tracker

This is good work. Perhaps make it a sticky thread to increase visibility here. Lucid themselves should strongly consider adding this information in the Lucid app. It would be great to see the last time a charging station was successfully used by a Lucid owner, and what the actual charging...

Android Update - HVAC Button More Responsive

The charging rate while charging is no longer displayed after this update. The only information displayed while charging is the time remaining. This reduction in charging information seems like a downgrade to me.

    2.0.50

It's like Lucid is unwilling to admit that their software has bugs that software updates do address. To the contrary, owners would feel more confident if Lucid was more upfront in acknowledging their software issues, and we could see that some are getting fixed. User mystery of what's in a...

    2.0.50

The lack of information provided by Lucid in the vehicle release notes updates is indefensible at at this point. It doesn't cost much for the company to provide more detailed release notes. There's no reason for it, other than a lack of transparency seems to be the policy of Lucid management...

    iOS App 1.27.0

Lucid, when will widgets be available for Android users? Widgets have been available for iOS users for quite a while now. Why aren't widgets available on Android devices?

What would you like to see from the Lucid mobile app?

I just spent 15 minutes trying to get a EA charging station to work that the Lucid app reported as available. I could not get it to work. The app reported authentication errors or payment declined. I tried another station after a vehicle left, and my charging worked immediately. The app...

    Unexpected Frunk Opening

This in the next OTA. The camera detects the drinking and the in-dash breathalyzer forces the car into park. 🤣

    Unexpected Frunk Opening

I just tried this in Drive in my driveway. The drink opened, but the car switched immediately to park. This behavior is designed, I guess. But I am not sure I agree with this behavior. I would prefer the frunk be disabled in a gear other than Park. I did find another bug. With the front camera...

    Unexpected Frunk Opening

It's a safety hazard for a vehicle to be moving in gear with the frunk open. Does Lucid not agree with this statement? If Lucid doesn't agree with this position, I think a NHTSA vehicle safety report is in order.

    Unexpected Frunk Opening

Agreed. The car should be in park for the frunk or trunk to open. If not in park, the request to open the frunk or trunk should not work, and a warning message should be displayed on the console. Lucid, do you agree? This should be a relatively easy software change.
