Your R1S will get those blind spot camera view through software update soon. Rivians Gen2 vehicles have quite a lot improvements, some of which will make their way to Gen1 vehicles too

Apart from software, Rivian is also supplying their zonal electronic tech. They claim they were able to reduce the wiring drastically with this new architecture, while improving reliability.

Has anyone tried the indoor car cover for outdoor use? Just wondering if it is any easier and lighter to handle than the outdoor one. For San Diego, it may not probably need full weather protection, so thinking if indoor car cover will suit my need. Most likely I will be using it when I am away...

Very confused? Try the 2024 for 18 months. If you like everything about it, consider the used 2023 at that time so as to get the extra features. Residual on existing 2023 was about 47k for end of lease term. Interest rate will be better too by then. You could even grab a used GT at good price then.

Remote park assist (similar to what's available in Hyundai) would have been a great feature to have. This will help to move the car from outside. Very useful in parking situations where it's hard to get out of the car after parked.
