What are some software things you LIKE about the car?

    - All of the systems feeding into/creating the driving dynamics! - Adaptive Cruise Control. - Lane Departure Warnings (with knobs). - The automated "Phone home" with data allowing proactive SC calls on potential issues.

    [RESOLVED] Suddenly Creep

Personally I have strong suspicion that this occurs due to the lack of a confirmation when a setting is toggled... a simple "finger swipe astray" will silently alter a setting as you scroll down the list of settings...

    Lucid, gems and cigars

At first quick scan of the (low resolution, highly blurred) text above the image I read "luxury electric performance" as "luxury erotic performance"... it seems in line with the rest of this ad, lol...

Service seems to have gotten less backed up, even mobile!

Yes, all 4 should wake the car up when pressed (with the passive unlock disabled such that it does not wake just because a key is present, it waits for pressing in the handle). Yes. The "walk away lock" setting doesn't matter, just the "walk up & unlock" setting being disabled.

    Bear decal facing back?

So your bears don't roar, they're just cool... good thing they have thick coats!

Service seems to have gotten less backed up, even mobile!

My Air GT was in service (Tysons, July 2023 thru Dec 2025) 7 times with 5 handle replacements (all 4 doors affected, and that 5 count is not counting that on the last of those visits the replacement handle was replaced before the car was returned to me) for the exact same problem... the latest...

    Comparing 3 very different EVs

With the rear seats both folded down (Air GT) my single bike slides in thru the trunk (front wheel off) trivially... indeed, our tandem bike also slides in with only an extra 1 minute of effort (front wheel off, captain's seat post out (which takes the stoker's handlebars with it)).

    Adaptive cruise/hands free not working

I'm struck how the TCU should be doing a periodic reboot of its own to avoid these problems in the first place... just like after an OTA update every system in the car should be rebooting itself from scratch...

    Bear decal facing back?

California bears are smarter than the average bear... they realize that in many cases right is wrong.

    No more Model S/X production

The Air is a bit bimodal on this too, in some ways "crowded" and in other ways very TARDIS like... for instance, I carry a full sized tandem bicycle inside ours (rear seats down, and with tons of spare room for bags & taking home cases of wine purchased on tour, etc)... but to achieve that I do...

    Software Improvements and Features Suggestions

Put another way... the car doesn't do enough to know what the intentions are for the person who has unlocked it... until it does, a "start/stop" button would be useful (started out in stop state when you unlock the car)... but really, there is a middle ground if they simply made use of...

Trip Computer efficiency is wrong and here's my proof

Double the voltage, and double (or more) the amperage... I'd expect L2 to be 4x (or more) quicker & more efficient too.

    Insanely good efficiency. Why?

And SLC has a calc of 21.425kw... one rounds up to 21 & one rounds down to 21... it all works... too bad we don't get 2 digits of precision in these displays...

    Insanely good efficiency. Why?

Yup, having destructive change (reset, option value changes, etc) that are not guarded by a "really?" confirmation is pretty much a classic anti-pattern, especially when even getting too close to the screen (but not touching) can trigger the action (as well as the whole idea of a touch screen...

    Insanely good efficiency. Why?

I suspect it is more because (speculation) the trip a/b only measures energy usage while in gear, but SLC is from the moment of unplugging (both in & out of gear)... so stop, put it in park, open the trunk & pick up the passenger and boom, you have significantly different usage, which when...

    Am I Overreacting? Lucid Edition

Bingo, my '88 Subaru XT6 would automatically raise/lower the suspension based upon the current speed... I miss that. Ok, so 3 different harnesses failed (yup, we all do know that there are many and have been for many moons now), and at least one was just a loose connection. I'd not write the...

    Am I Overreacting? Lucid Edition

As I read the report I did not get the sense that this is one harness(and its replacements) that failed, but rather that this was 3 independant harnesses that had failed. Which failure case are you reporting? Certainly, in either case, checking for the potential of rodents as the source of the...

    Tow Hitch

Kewl... I see no indication of what will Lucid do about warranty on the Air with one installed?

Visiting the in-laws: ABRP vs PlugShare

Only if it knows (i.e. gets its guess right) that you are (a) going to a DCFC station; and (b) intend to charge there. I've had it fail on (a), and can imagine it failing on (b) too. I'd much rather that it ask me (e.g. "your waypoint is near a DCFC, do you intend to charge?") than having it to...

    Make it official: beta testing

Indeed, the article pointed at states "Lucid started with the open-source Android Automotive operating system and built out the apps and other features from there."
