    Autel chargers

My Autel charger is working fine as well although I’m still taking advantage of the 3 years of free charging.

    Charging Speed

Just replaced the receptacle with a Bryant 9450FR. I'm glad I have the 1/4" torque wrench. I don't think these 70+ year-old hands could have "wrenched" 75 in-lbs from a torque screwdriver. The torque wrench made it much easier. "Muscle-ing the receptacle into the J-box wasn't much fun either...

    Charging Speed

I've got my Snappy 1/4 torque wrench so I should be good.

Thank you for the tips. I found out that torque value is 75 inch-lbs for the lugs. Also, it will need a different faceplate (larger hole diameter).

NACS (Tesla adapter) versus CCS Megathread

I am hoping that for most of us this is an emotional issue rather than a practical one. My own situation: I have installed a Level 2 charger at home for the Lucid. I've also installed a 14-50R receptacle, soon to be replaced with a Bryant continuous duty one, so all 3 bays of my garage are EV...

    Release Version Megathread

Thanks. I never knew the Air did that. The Lexus retracts all the way back until I click on my seatbelt. I always wondered why the Lucid didn't. Looking forward to the feature.

Yeah, but I still don't know what seat homing is or does.

    Release Version Megathread

What does seat homing do? This implies that each of us has to schedule a service appointment after the software update?

Thanks for this. I just ordered the Bryant from Amazon, will replace my UL-approved receptacle.

    Charging Speed

I dunno. Can it get worse than a "1" rating lol? That's been the Cheyenne rating for a few months now.

    Charging Speed

I hear you. I drive by the Cheyenne station regularly as it is close to my home. Rating is pretty much spot on. Don't know if/when EA will ever get that one repaired. There has not been a positive review since before January. The station on E. Craig has been my best bet but yesterday it was...

    Charging Speed

If you open the Plugshare app, touch a particular charging location. You will see a number rating. I don't know more than that, like who do those ratings.

    Charging Speed

Consider yourself blessed. There are 4 EA stations rated 10' they are all on the east side/Henderson. The closest station to me rates a 1; others are 4.2, 7.9, 8.3 and 8.4. Reviews from other people's experiences mirror mine. Cars says something like charging speed limited by charger.

No, I went directly to the XPEL place. Ask for Jeremy. He treated me really well.

Wonder if it's the heat. When I'm standing near the charger, it sounds like a wind tunnel.

Wish I could remember but the sum total of my experience with Lucid service was a 5-minute replacement of a broken clip on the headliner. Knock on wood, the car has been flawless.

    Another positive EA experience

The bad and the ugly. Notice I didn't mention good. Plugshare rates the charge station on Cheyenne a "1". That is out of 10. Maximum charge is 50kW; 2 of the charge stations are missing cables (hoses). Plugshare rates the charge station at Sam's Club on E. Craig a "10" so I go there to...

    Charging Speed

This is a hugely optimistic curve as related to EA chargers. My experience is that the rate drops to 40 or below at 70%SOC.

I echo that, along with my BIL. I've only had one 5-minute issue while he's had the tech over a half-dozen times. Superb service. For PPF, Xpel on W. Sunset did a great front package for me.

    Road Trip Disaster

Thanks for this. Things seem so obvious once someone points it out to you. I'll usually go and charge the car up as an event rather than, say walk into the Target or Walmart and do some shopping and make the trip dual or multiple purpose. A part of me wants to be polite and unplug as soon as...
