(POSTPONED) Join Us for an Ask-Me-Anything with Erwin Raphael, Senior Vice President of Global Revenue, June 18 at 9:30 pm Pacific

Perhaps there is a legitimate reason to postpone. If so, @marqie should let us what it is. If your assertion is correct vis-a-vis, Lucid execs were alarmed by the questions pre-submitted, there is your answer right there....they are totally out of touch!

Car locked with child inside and would not unlock

To your point, >aside from having a disciplined SW development and integration process, isn't that why system level testing and validation is an important step to detect those "unanticipated" conflicts/bugs? Quoting you, "We say the obvious things that occurred but there may likely be other...

    Is service overwhelmed?

I think this is a Lucid Corporate issue. The SCs (I think) were told to book the customer's appointment and, even with huge backlogs, still honors the booked date for the service. However, the booked date is only good for checking in. It doesn't mean it will be worked on, sometimes not worked...

    Is service overwhelmed?

I agree with you that the folks at the service center are not the problem. And yes, it will take some time to hire/train and backfill the deficit manpower. However, there are also idiotic corporate practices that I totally don't understand. Let me give an example: >late last year (Dec. 2025)...

    Emad Dlala out

Thanks.... To your points, on my own road trips (780 mi from Marin County CA to Phoenix AZ), my AGT took ~13.5hr while my R1S took~14.5hr. I have a habit of charging to 80% on my stops, which is probably not the best practice in terms of time. I think I can probably shave 30-45min off if I...

    Service Mode

BTW, I just had my Rivian serviced at a body shop due to someone backing into my car resulting in some cosmetic damages. During the service period, the body shop put my car in "Service mode". When I picked up my car, I asked the service manager what "Service mode" is. He said that it...

Goodbye and farewell after 40 months

Not surprising! I think the unquestioned believe and reliance on PIF is a huge Lucid blind-spot. At some point, PIF will cut its losses on a floundering investment. I think Lucid has marketable equities. But it is hard to see Lucid staying independent if it loses PIF backing.

Goodbye and farewell after 40 months

Yes, 48 mph on long road trips. Try it sometime! I am NOT saying the EPA cycles are wrong. And I disagree with the folks that say we should blame the EPA. The issue is how the manufacturer embellishes the EPA rating in their ads. As @Ampere noted, he "thought" he was going to get better...

Goodbye and farewell after 40 months

Other EV manufacturers, complying with EPA, using the 2-cycle test AND a conservative derating, often meets/exceeds their claimed mileage/efficiency numbers, closely matching the performance in real life. In contrast, Lucid (Tesla) don't. Their deviation is off by as much as 20-25%. I think...

Goodbye and farewell after 40 months

Sad to see you go. Similarly, I share many of the likes and dislikes you stated. Lucid's efficiency/range claims are "technically correct, consistent with Lucid's methodology" but misleading when compared with most US usage, hence the disappointment. Honestly, I think Lucid should revisit...

    Will Lucid take Cosmos reservations?

That being so, does that mean any EV can be designed to charge at 800+ volts without having the added encumbrance of added circuitry to boost the voltages internally? What percentage of chargers are actually, natively 920V capable?

    Will Lucid take Cosmos reservations?

AI says, native 800V public chargers is approx 1.5% of the total. I don't know if that's correct. If you have different data, share them.

    Will Lucid take Cosmos reservations?

As I understand it: > until recently (a couple of months ago), US-Canada's Auto-Pact (not sure if it is/was part of the 50+ year Auto-Pact) either disallows the importation of Chinese autos into N America or to block such imports with hefty duty. > as Trump monkeys around with the...

    Will Lucid take Cosmos reservations?

Not under-estimating how fast Cosmos (thanks @borski) might charge. Please remember this is a mid-market product selling @$45k to $55k. And there are few native 800V charge stations around in the today. In my opinion, it is not a technology issue per se. I am sure Rivian know how to do an...

    Will Lucid take Cosmos reservations?

Let's not forget, the R2 is a mass-market targeted vehicle. If you normalize the R2's charging curve vs Air and Gravity, I'd think (I haven't done the work yet) Gravity would be best, but R2 beats the Air (in charging curve). My take is, R2 stayed with 400V for cost reasons. Most mid-size...

    Will Lucid take Cosmos reservations?

Well said! I might add, almost every single day, a Rivian Amazon delivery van shows up (sometimes twice a day) on my short cul-de-sac. There is a lot of "in-your-face" advertising.

    Will Lucid take Cosmos reservations?

Good data. Yes, it is off topic RE: Cosmo Reservation. I suspect then 400V choice is a cost (vs. benefit) consideration. Sometime Cosmo has to face as well.
