Will marketing finally make a turn? Ex Hyundai executive hired by Napoli

My 2022 AGT is rated at 516 miles range (referencing the EPA tests). I drive the Phoenix to Sausalito trip many times, 780 miles. I have NEVERgotten more than 400 miles on a full (100%) charge. Lucid's range is good, but not nearly as good as they claimed. The EPA extrapolation is faulty and...

Will marketing finally make a turn? Ex Hyundai executive hired by Napoli

Truth in advertiszing.....I suggest the readers go see all the CR data. Tests were done @70mph. As a percentage, the 2023 Lucid Touring has one of the largest deviations (actual miles vs claim) of the EVs tested. I'd suspect the deviation is even more so @70+mph. Also, the Touring is one of...

Will marketing finally make a turn? Ex Hyundai executive hired by Napoli

It is a cop-out to call this an EPA problem. Lucid's "implied" range (based on extrapolation of EPA's tests # on an avg test speed of 48mph) is not consistent with how people consider "range" on a road trip. On both the Air and the Gravity, the user realizable range on US highways is around...

There is only one arrow left in the quiver! Napoli, aim and fire!

Will marketing finally make a turn? Ex Hyundai executive hired by Napoli

If, indeed, they are essay fixes, just do it! Lucid's issue is not its vision, like you, Iwas drawn toit. But visions need "hard core" EXECUTION, that's where Lucid has fallen short. Yes, let's give Napoli and his crew a chance.....but the clock is running!

Will marketing finally make a turn? Ex Hyundai executive hired by Napoli

Lucid needs to relook at their business model and see how they can scale their "virtual" service network. I don't think Lucid has the lead-time, manpower, or management bandwidth to scale their operations in time to benefit Cosmos. Failing that, it is game over! I am not a car-guy, so I...

Will marketing finally make a turn? Ex Hyundai executive hired by Napoli

Rivian's revenue is ~5X that of Lucid's. Aside from cars, Rivian develops and sells SW, partnership with VW, sells delivery vans to Amazon, etc.. I have a 2022 AGT and a 2023 R1S. Thus far, my Rivian have had zero service needs. SW works great! Never had a problem with SW. I have both cars...

Will marketing finally make a turn? Ex Hyundai executive hired by Napoli

Don't know Zepeda. Glad Lucid is hiring someone who knows the business. That said, I think marketing Cosmos under Lucid is a Herculean task! Unlike Air and Gravity which are aimed at consumers who (most of the) are willing to spend 6-figures on the vehicle and own multiple luxury cars and can...

    Gravity HUD question

I never thought DDPro is FSD. It took a long time to rollout and its functionality trails competition. Based on the issues described by the owners, it seems to me the HUD has both hardware and software problems. It will likely take a lot of time and effort to get it to where it is supposed to be.

    Gravity HUD question

Sounds like the DDPro saga on the Air all over again! Ambitious goals, exaggerated claims, charges extra for it, but languished for years to come close to the promises!

    Embarrassed Lucid praise moment

It works SOME of the time. Sometimes, it takes multiple pushes and many seconds to elicit a response. This kind of lock/unlock anomaly doesn't happen on other cars I own. My AGT, my Rivian R1S, and my Honda Clarity are all parked in the same garage. When I enter the garage, R1S and the Honda...

    My Service Experience with Lucid

Napoli's recent shuffle replaced and (perhaps) elevated the customer-facing executives. I know that was only 3 weeks ago. But some of the things customers are complaining can be fixed quickly. For example, how difficult is it to staff the phone line, answer the calls, log and prioritize the...

    Embarrassed Lucid praise moment

Sad, but true! It happens to me every single day! Is Lucid a great DRIVING CAR? YES! Would I buy another Lucid given my experience? NO! It gets REALLY OLD when you have to struggle to get into your car every single day! Lucid needs to focus on the FUNDAMENTALS!

2027 Genesis GV90 Leaked Ahead of Debut with 310-Mile Range and Coach Door Model

I DO think Lucid has good efficiency. That said, don't compare Lucid's claimed range based on extrapolated EPA ratings vs real-life 70-75mph tests. Lucid's efficiency is "good", but not as good as they imply based on EPA ratings. If you search on this forum, the generally realized Lucid Air's...

    Sales Dept Unresponsive This Week

A lot of the missteps were pre-Napoli. But you can only say that for so long. If Lucid were to survive under Napoli, things better happen soon!

    Sales Dept Unresponsive This Week

Sad,and true! Lucid really needs to beef up its customer-facing resources (sales, services, leases). The status quo is a path tono-where!

Gravity efficiency is low for me

I am "out West"! While I grew up on the "East Coast", I lived in Oregon, California, and Arizona for the past 46 years! Yes, the distance in the US WEST is further than on the East Coast. But 250 miles is still reasonable range unless you are in Montana or Wyoming.

Gravity efficiency is low for me

Not disagreeing with your points. Abstracting your points; > if human physiology is the limiting factor, a 3hr span@70-75mph, or 250mile range with fast charging would-be optimal, correct?! > yet, EV manufactures are angling for 350+ miles range and manipulating EPA methodology and data to...
