Android Auto in 2.7.0 - Initial Impressions

You can go to Android Auto Settings on the phone or after it launches and change the "Start Android Auto automatically" to "if last used on last drive" Or if you always use AA, you can change the "Start Android Auto while locked" to off. I would assume when you get into the car, your phone is...

Android Auto in 2.7.0 - Initial Impressions

After using AA for a few days (and outside of screen real estate usage), I'm quite happy with this implementation. The quality of the screen definitely improves the AA experience, and I haven't noticed issues between using the apps in AA like I did with the Lucid built-in apps. Something that...

I think I figured it out. I put a sleep time on the app and I messed up the container TZ setting. I had to update it in the YAML file correctly to the right TZ. Now all my data is skewed, but I believe new data pulls will happen properly because it'll see the proper time. So if I ever do an...

Odd. None of my data from today has been pulled by LucidLogger. The containers are all active. I just restarted the service via telsalogger interface. Any ideas

I would suggest blocks of 5mph up to 140mph. It would add 6 more bars, but I think it would make more sense.

I think they were mentioning that the DSM directions need to be updated on Git. If anything, there should probably be a comment that it's specific for TeslaLogger and doesn't work for LucidLogger. It would be great if the directions you provided were added to the Git Repo since it's super clear...

Article and podcast suggesting support for Android Auto and Apple Carplay diminishing

I was trying to explain to one of the Lucid techs the need for AA & CarPlay even if it's not a good implemenation. Every user knows what they are getting into and how to use it. It allows manufacturers to release a less-than-ideal experience with native systems. When you're forced onto native...

    RESOLVED Android Auto Thursday

I'm just going off of one of the out of spec episodes with the design engineer. He mentioned that they learned a lot about screen designs to allow for AA & CarPlay. Could just be interpreting that differently than others. I took it as the fundamental arc of the screen being an issue with...

I wouldn't mess with it. I'm pretty sure we are the minority in getting DSM working. Most in the comments and what I've seen online for TeslaLogger are using Docker.

Ah. I knew CarPlay was similar, but I was hoping the delay in AA would have allowed for deeper implementation. I guess the resolution that the screen is different enough to warrant a Lucid specific AA release.

Awesome! I'm hoping the image is not 100% accurate and apps like maps fills the whole screen. The dead space on the side looks pretty large.

I won't be getting to 100K. I have a 3 year lease and then will have another car after that :)

@bassmaster187 you mentioned that there are some dashboards that don't work with Lucid. Is there a list of the dashboards that aren't expected to work? I want to organize the dashboards in the General folder with Lucid only ones so I'm not scrolling through the whole list. Thanks in advance

For those who are trying this app, you can add Geofence data to each location. If you go to Dashboards -> Trip, you can click on any Start or Destination address and enter a name for each. This will help with the other dashboard displays so the info is cleaner to read.

    RESOLVED Android Auto Thursday

Also happens with Spotify & TuneIn. The car really seems to struggle when switching from Wifi to cellular. I have to drive for a few minutes before Spotify or TuneIn start working after being on Wi-Fi. I'm going to keep Wi-Fi off until I start seeing people reporting the update is actually...

When you do the first container setup, you had to change the TZ setting in the 4 locations on the file - docker-compose.yml - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tz_database_time_zones#List I did a quick google search and it seems like changing the TZ after deployment requires command line...

For anyone wondering, I'm running this on a Synology DS220 NAS and I'm not having any issues with performance. Everything seems to be working really well and smoothly. It'll pulling in all the data from above. The issue I'm seeing is that the data is in KM and C versus Miles and F. Not sure how...
