    2.8.17 update

Call support. I literally was on the phone less than a minute.

    2.8.17 update

That’s what they told me too. I seem to have talked with Marque no less(?). They picked up in less than a minute for me.

One Year of Ownership Today - some thoughts particularly if you are thinking about getting a Lucid.

Yes. After a year of hanging around and hearing what's said, I think more people have good experiences than bad ones, by a lot, but it's sometimes hard to tell online... this isn't to discount the bad experiences. People definitely have those, and some of those are really Lucid's problem. But...

One Year of Ownership Today - some thoughts particularly if you are thinking about getting a Lucid.

So, a year ago today I picked up my white 2025 Air Pure at Tysons here in Virginia. The only option I talked myself into was the 20-way massaging seats (no regrets on that - amazing and worth every penny). Looking back on the last year I have some thoughts to share - particularly for people...

    2.8.17 update

I know nothing, but I wonder if they are bandwidth-limited and spending their capacity to get the new Gravity update out - which I could see them prioritizing right now.

    Cold weather road trip

I am kicking around a drive to the northern Midwest sometime in the next few months (about 1,000 miles each way). That temp range sounds about like what I can expect. I'm curious to see how the car does where it is really cold!

The Air, the Gravity . . . and what comes next

Yes. I am a big fan of the design. I think it is under-appreciated - or probably more accurately lost for many by the times things don’t work right - but it’s visual, clear, and almost everything I use on a regular basis isn’t buried six layers deep in menus. Tesla lost me when I went for a...

    Alternatives to the Lucid Air

I'll be trying out the Cadillacs in a couple of years. I'm not an SUV guy, but GM seems to be building some compelling vehicles...

    Alternatives to the Lucid Air

I have used mine to haul 8' lumber from Lowes. It's hilarious what you can actually fit in an Air if you want to. Also, I haven't had to even do a soft reset on mine in months. I thought I was going to have to yesterday (CarPlay died), but it turned out that turning the phone on and off fixed it.

    Just comical at this point...

Eeesh. No - though they did check mine for the wiring harness issue when I had it in for an upholstery repair. Sorry you are going through this.

Driving Air loaner while Gravity is in the shop

I have had the same thought... but after a year with an Air, it's tempered by the fact that it's quite a bit better than when I picked it up, so I can see that things are getting fixed and getting better. That gives me patience with some of the things that aren't fixed yet - they do make...

‘Upgraded cameras in GGT with very high resolution compared to Air’. ???!

Okay, this seems like a non issue to me (or maybe because this is the first car I have had with so many cameras). To me, the Air's camera's are fine. They get the job done. They are significantly better than the cameras in my 2015 Honda. The end. If the Gravity's cameras are the same as...

2026 Motor Trend SUV of the Year: the 9,000-pound Cadillac Escalade with a 205 kWh Battery pack

The software weaknesses are such a liability for Lucid. I totally understand Motor Trend wanting a complete vehicle to honor. I think the Gravity will get there - and was pleasantly surprised the Consumer Reports folks didn’t only see the software problems (even though they did have to get a...

Bent Rim, Some Communications Challenges, but Good Service

This is just to confirm Lucid did indeed reach out to me and did send me a check for the rather expensive towing bill I had ended up paying for here. They did it entirely on their own - I didn’t even ask them about it. That’s definitely the first time a car company has done something like that...

    2025 Lucid Air Reliability

25 Air Pure since last December. I have had no major issues, but it has had three warranty visits to the shop - one to get a keyfob programmed after they only had one at delivery, one to get the frunk latch adjusted, and one to replace cracked pure-lux on my drivers seat.

When does the Air get a Gravity Style UX?

You are right, and they don’t owe it to me, but man it would make me smile. Also now that DD Pro has improved so much they could do it without cannibalizing their more expensive offering and keep up with the Jones (and Hyundai) at the same time. From my lips to Lucid’s ears…

When does the Air get a Gravity Style UX?

I seem to remember seeing somewhere that the Gravity UX is supposed to come to the Air and was designed so that would be possible, but I don't think it has been said that it will come to older Airs. We will see. The numbering scheme hints at it to me. Gravity started at 3.0 and we are at 2.8.9...

Bent Rim, Some Communications Challenges, but Good Service

So, this is a twist. Lucid (it appears to be Lucid, though I am being careful) reached out to me and offered to cover my towing expenses. That goes above and beyond what I would have expected in an edge case like this. Stay tuned, but assuming this is for real, points for Lucid from me for...

Bent Rim, Some Communications Challenges, but Good Service

So. yesterday I was enjoying a beautiful drive down a valley when my right rear tire ended up off of the roadbed around a corner (I am sure it had nothing to do with my driving style /sarcasm). I felt a bump, but didn't think much of it until a few seconds later it became clear my passenger side...
