    Thank you & Goodbye!

Today I've returned my 2024 AGT, after an 18-month lease. It's been a great journey all-in-all, full of highs and lows. Highs: best handling car I ever owned, looks great inside and out, superb range, quiet, luxurious. Lows: bugs, software unreliability, inability to fix one thing without...

Lucid Gravity 5,000 Mile Review! The Best Driving SUV Crippled By Software Annoyances

Options: They choose to underinvest in software. Incompetence. Is there something else?

Lease return excess wear & tear

I appologize in advance if this has been mentioned somewhere in the thread, but is there a best-practice to return the lease? Like a pre-inspection, taking pics, etc. Thank you!.

    2.8.17 update

Installed last night. The only difference is a good one, my efficiency is back. Same roads, same conditions, after the last update my efficiency dropped significantly. Now it's back. Not that it matters much, as my lease is up.

    Engineering Explained. This is bad.

I think that's because when the Air came out, it was so mind blowing compared to the competition, that almost everyone decided to ignore the software issues. In the meantime tho, the competition has caught up consistently, and there are a lot more options. While the Gravity is arguably an...

    Engineering Explained. This is bad.

MVP means a functional, basic product. They chose to build a poorly functional, complex product.

    Engineering Explained. This is bad.

I think they've made a calculated decision to sell as much as possible, even if the software quality is poor. It's a Hail Mary to stay in business and hit their targets. What's better? Take the time to improve the software significantly and risk going out of business, or sell bugged cars and...

    Engineering Explained. This is bad.

This dude has 4.16M subscribers. When someone like this gives you thumbs down, you will feel it. If Lucid cannot see the trend here, they need a visit to the optometrist, asap.

    Would You Purchase Again?

I don't know about that. My Air still has multiple, repeating, inconsistent bugs, ranging from hair pulling (doors won't open) to minor annoyance (cameras don't come off).

    Would You Purchase Again?

Nope. My lease is up and I'm not renewing. No matter how much I like the looks, dynamics and range, the dozen small software issues are driving me mad. I guess I'm not enough of an "enthusiast". If I have to put my finger on one thing that killed the brand for me (for the moment at least) it...

ADIOS LUCID: I really hate to make this post but after only two months of ownership, my '23 Lucid AT is gone.

My lease is up in Feb and I'm not getting another Lucid. Best driving car I ever had, but also the most frustrating experience, and I'm too old for this. I had 3 acquaintances so far asking if they should get one, I recommended against it. Imagine that at scale. I'm at the point where for short...

Open letter to Lucid after 7 months of ownership

I hope not. It's gonna dry the last drop of self confidence I have left.

Open letter to Lucid after 7 months of ownership

Lol lots of fan-boy comments here didn't age well but I'm not an I-told-you-so kind of guy. Just because I leased a Lucid doesn't mean I lost my common-sense.

Lease return excess wear & tear

Idk about a $40k haggle :) But I would buy it, if they would sell at market value.

Lease return excess wear & tear

My plan is to return my '24 AGT in Feb, wait for the VIN to show up on Autotrader and buy it back at $60k. There's no way I would pay the residual of $100k.

Lease return excess wear & tear

Lucid is no different than any other company out there. They won't change anything unless they have to. And only financial pressure does it, in this case, via bad publicity.
