    Does auto parking ever work?

I was never able to get auto parking to work. It never finds a spot, no matter how obvious they can be. My 2013 Ford Escape did parallel parking just fine. All my BMWs were excellent at that, for years.

    V 3.6 potential issues

I repeatedly find the rear A/C turned off, despite having passengers in the back. That's just maddening in the summer.

Lucid Gravity UX 3.6 is here!

Another annoying problem on 3.6 is that brake intervention on reverse is always on, regardless of how you configure that in parking settings. The car will slams on the brakes when it sees ghosts. Very irritating.

Lucid Gravity UX 3.6 is here!

I've been running 3.6 for several days without issues. This happened today. So the problem of weird issues creeping up with uptime continues.

3.6 after a few days

Lucid Gravity UX 3.6 is here!

I had mentioned before 3.6 had fixed the detection of stopped cars. Well, not so fast. It certainly has improved a lot, but just a few minutes ago, the car would slam in a car stopped a red light, had I not intervened pretty late. It just completely ignored the car there. That's frustrating...

Lucid Gravity UX 3.6 is here!

No. It will happily blow through a red light or stop sign.

Lucid Gravity UX 3.6 is here!

The car doesn't do any navigation.

Lucid Gravity UX 3.6 is here!

My early perceptions of 3.6. I have DreamDrive Pro, so I can drive hands free. It works quite well. The lane keeping behavior isn’t much different than 3.5.1, but the adaptive cruise control is much improved. The car is much smoother now and doesn’t brake aggressively when someone cuts in front...

    Question about the dashcam functionality

Tesla and Lucid have chosen the route of having one large computer and have everything else being software driven. If you look at GM or BMW, they all use multiple ECUs that talk to each other. With multiple ECUs, in theory, you can have one that's very optimized to just run the cameras in...

In the decision making stage Gravity Touring lease — GT vs Touring + DreamDrive 2 Pro?

In practice, the difference is quite less, because the Touring is 500 lbs lighter.

    New Bugs Since 3.5.1

If you have an electric motor pushing against you, that energy has to go somewhere. And it's heat.

    Question about the dashcam functionality

Image analysis is computationally expensive. The car computer can't sleep, it has to record all the cameras and perform frame analysis on all of them all the time. I'd guess that costs at least 100-200 watts.

Gravity gt vs t sales rate?

If that’s in fact happening (not just anecdotes), this is a huge problem for them. If they can’t move their cheaper inventory, they are screwed.

    Is Lucid styling the problem?

Yeah, I think the opinion is unanimous. The cars are fantastic when everything works. But man, what a fk* pain in the ass to live with. I like my car, but I can't possibly recommend anyone else to buy one. That makes me sad.

    Red triangle system warning

Another day, another problem. Now the car is always showing this system warning, according to the manual. The car is functioning just fine. I have no idea where this is coming from. No notification anywhere else. Has anyone seen this?

    New Bugs Since 3.5.1

Today, the left blind spot camera feed got stuck on, despite of which turn signal I used, left, right or off. The video feed was normal and very fast, but it would just never turn off. And the right blind spot camera would never come up because of that. And, yet another reboot.

    The Long Goodbye

I've leased all my BMWs for 3 years each, and I never replaced a fob battery. Same with Acuras.

    Is Lucid styling the problem?

It depends on what you're measuring. A total run 0-60, maybe it's a tad bit faster, or a wash. But the Gravity delivers that more linearly, while the iX jumps like a beast. Nothing about being better or worse. It's just the way they're calibrated. Also, the Gravity only does those advertised...
