What's your wish list for Lucid Gravity

The car has that. It works just fine.

    Regret my purchase

The nightmare of Lucid ownership is needing to talk to them for anything. They can't support the growing fleet. It only gets worse.

OOS (Out of Spec) initial review of their long term Gravity GT

I have exactly the same steering vibration issue when hitting bumps on the highway. Something is triggering the vibration motor, as if I had touched a lane marking. I was under impression it's a software bug. Maybe it's not?

Is full self driving being developed for Gravity?

Only 14% of Teslas subscribe to FSD. It's too expensive. For us here buying brand new Lucids, maybe $100/month is not bad, but for most people leasing cheaper Model 3/Ys, the FSD subscription alone is 20% of the monthly cost of the car. And that's forever! Besides being too expensive, Tesla is...

Share Your Feedback - Enhanced Rear Cabin Comfort

I also find it a really poor and cheap decision to use just one big noisy fan and use dampers to "turn on" the rear climate. That's very annoying, because to cool the back of the car, the front occupants have to deal with excessive noise. A lot of luxury cars have separate fans for different...

    Does auto parking ever work?

I was able to get it to work. Once it finds a spot, and that's the main problem, it parks well. But it only confirmed it found the spot way after I crossed it. That would certainly piss anyone behind me.

Lots of Gravity inventory in Miami World Center garage.

Also coming from an iX. The Gravity humiliates the iX in practicality, packaging, handling, etc. The iX humiliates the Gravity in reliability and serviceability. It never even crossed my mind that pressing a fob button to open the trunk and the trunk wouldn't open for 30 seconds. Everything...

Lots of Gravity inventory in Miami World Center garage.

I agree the key is better, but still FAR worse than any cheap car, like the my Nissan rental from last week. The buttons only work if you are very close to the car and opening the trunk is still infuriating. Sometimes I wait 10-20 seconds, right next to car, holding the trunk button and nothing...

Share Your Feedback - Enhanced Rear Cabin Comfort

It seems to be working very well now. Even when the rear climate is off, as soon as passenger clicks the seat belt, I notice it comes on. One thing that I don't like is the fan noise when the rear climate is on. I think the car pumps excessive ventilation in AUTO mode. On BMWs, for example, you...

Lots of Gravity inventory in Miami World Center garage.

I was very interested in the Vistiq, until I realized the steering wheel moves almost 2 revolutions to each side? WTF, Cadillac? No wonder GM cars are boring as hell to drive.

GT 7 Seater 22/23 vs T 5 Seater 20/21s - The Touring has stolen my heart

They both have 2 motors, but the Touring is 500 lbs lighter. That makes a big difference in braking and handling. Not in acceleration of course, because the GT has a better power-to-weight ratio.

Update on Our Next OTA Release (post-3.6.0)

@marqie the release notes are the same as 3.6.2. What actually changes in 3.6.3?

Lucid Gravity UX 3.6 is here!

My car has radar and lidar, but it seems to me the lidar sensor isn't being used at all.

Lucid Gravity UX 3.6 is here!

I totally don't trust it when I'm approaching another car with a large speed difference, especially a stopped car. It seems like the radar takes too long to lock, probably to prevent false-positives, which is a good thing. Tesla had tried to solve this problem too aggressively and created a...

    Is Lucid styling the problem?

Just over 3 months of ownership here, coming from a 2024 BMW iX. Some comments on your concerns: 3) I haven't had the change the fob battery yet, since delivery. 4) I don't use the proximity lock / unlock, so no comments on that. Other than that, the fob has been dependable. What annoys me is...

    Is Lucid styling the problem?

It's funny that the industry seems to be unable to learn these lessons. Ford learned that lesson the hard way 15 years ago with Microsoft Sync, which was a fiasco, riddled with class action lawsuits. I got my $50 bucks out of one of those. Software is at the center of everything these days...

Is your Gravity a Faraday cage for garage remotes?

I don't do any automation. I open HA on the car screen and open the garage manually. I hate unreliable automations.

Is your Gravity a Faraday cage for garage remotes?

Yes, the windows are too thick. You have to open the window a bit for the signal to travel farther. Honestly, I gave up and I use Home Assistant on Android Auto to operate my garage door. It works from anywhere on the planet. :) I can also say "hey google, open the garage door" and that works too.

Lucid Gravity UX 3.6 is here!

Today I had a random disengagement that also kicked the cruise control. The car started braking (regen) immediately in the middle of the freeway, for no reason. That's frustrating and unsafe. Then on the next drive, the car location got stuck at the airport parking lot. Of course, that messed...

    Does auto parking ever work?

On my previous BMW iX, I used it mostly to confirm that car would fit. Its measuring was spot on. It parked on spots I would never have attempted myself. Since parallel parking is rare where I live, I seldom used it, but it was fun. It just worked.
