Lucid Air GT vs Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG

I think some are over selling the Air as a sports car. It's a luxury car first and foremost, but it as a fine driving machine. As @joec said, the interior is the biggest departure from the S-class and that is a subjective choice.

What if? -- maintaining Airs if Lucid US disappears

I don't see anything wrong with discussing failure and how the plausibility of such influences purchase decisions now, as well as long-term ownership experiences. Hopes and wishes are not a strategy in my personal finances, so I consider many reasonable outcomes and scenarios and make the best...

"Lucid’s Tech is Unmatched—But What About the Customer Experience?"

Lucid is still an infant in the OEM world and one has to keep that perspective in mind. Even with that, I'm blown away with how good the presale, sale, delivery, and service experiences have been. Cadillac is about as luxury as I have ever purchased, so maybe there are luxury legacy mfgs that...

    Curb rashes galore

For me avoiding curb rash has never had anything to do with the A pillar, in any car. The A pillar creates a huge blind spot when turning, but not rashing your rims is all about mirrors and understanding the parameters of your car relative to the curb.

    Lucid air vs my m5

Acting like the Pure is some massive departure from the upper level trim Air experience is just pure fallacy  Outside of more range and HP, its the EXACT same car but it weighs considerably more. Unbiased reviews suggest the Pure is actually a better, more balanced sports car than the...

    Lucid air vs my m5

As others have said, most enthusiasts will retain an ICE for fun, road trips, and other situations where BEV is not practical or ideal. EV's are great when used appropriately (commuting, errands, day trips, etc.) but at least for me, they will never be a full replacement for ICE. Not by the...

    Lucid air vs my m5

You really thought you were leasing a E-M5? It's news to you that BEV's are not even close to the soul stirring experience of a V8 manual sedan (I have a CT5-V Blackwing manual, so I speak your language). I think your issue is more of unrealistic expectations. One short test drive should have...

12 Months In, and I'm Out.

You tried a Lucid, its not for you, all good. Life is too short to not find something that checks all your boxes. Cheers!

Oh no...nostalgia is very overrated in this case.

Lucid Air as a car to teach my teenage daughter driving?

The A pillar blind spot is massive in the Air and it generally has a poorer visual picture so it's best for experienced drivers that can anticipate things that maybe they can't necessarily "see". I can't see any benefit to a new/newer driver only learning "one pedal" driving, we're going to...

New (used) 2022 GT Owner with Tesla wall charging problems (hot plug!)

Tesla access will be added in 2025 and you can investigate the simple solutions suggested in this thread (check outlet quality or add a proper home charging station). No one has any gumption anymore, smallest hurdle and they punch out.

New (used) 2022 GT Owner with Tesla wall charging problems (hot plug!)

I have Tesla level 2 charger on a 60a circuit and charge at 48a using the Telsa Tap Mini without issue. I am not sure if using the 80a Tesla Tap mini on a 60a circuit is the issue for the OP, but I went with the 60a mini to match my current setup and have no issues. I did buy and will install...

Ever Since I Got My Lucid, I Can't Play The Piano!

I was actually voted most likely to entertain people at parties, so there is that. I talking about the premise of the post and posts like it that get all defensive of Lucid, not the middling dad jokes.

Ever Since I Got My Lucid, I Can't Play The Piano!

Threads and posts like the OP's edge towards Tesla FanBoi zone. There are and will be issues, its part of the deal when you buy from what is essentially a start up. Our Air was down for 2 weeks with various issues, but the service center was great and ZERO complaints. Denying that this...

    Initial user experience

Ok so you purchased/leased a car from a company that only started pushing product to market a couple of years ago and are mad that it's not on par with a legacy auto maker? These sorts of posts happen on all forums/brands but when someone complains about basic interface issues that could easily...

Has anyone else noticed a significant drop off in the responsiveness of customer service?

Maybe a good place to start (for the general collective) would be stop contacting CS regarding your software update FOMO? Maybe learn some detailing skills, how play a guitar, knit, but for the love gawd please stop obsessing over this who give two cares software update. $.02 offered

Wanting to step into a Lucid, trouble deciding

TL;DR '24 Pure rwd is the best value and driving dynamics Lucid offers and people have been navigating 2wd in Portland for decades without issue. My general observation after a couple of months hanging around here is that small or middling changes or updates are often greatly exaggerated in...

    2.3.0 download failure -FYI

The term wi-fi is being used here, is that the primary pathway to getting an OTA update or is that presumed to mean same as 4g cell connection (or 5g if that is what is used)?
