Steering Wheel Vibration & Rumbling from Front Axle

If I didn't know better I'd say it sounds like you've got a critter trapped somewhere in the works, especially in the last clip. Really strange. Did support come up with anything? I don't have a Gravity, but in my AT I can feel a very minor cyclical vibration in the wheel and pedals when the...

Years of Persistent Software Failures - Lucid Air Software Team’s Incompetence is Unacceptable

While I've experienced some of what you've described in my ~1.5 years of ownership, I wouldn't say the frequency of those occurrences is enough to warrant a branding of "outright incompetence and dangerous disregard." Moreover, many of those occurrences have drastically decreased with each...

Buyer's beware of lucid and its fragile parts

Uhh may I offer some counter-advice - don't go looking at other cars and hitting them with rocks to see what happens 😅

    Lucid Air vs Porsche Taycan

That sounds like a fun trip, especially side-by-side like that. I'd have brought along some CB radios for the full experience :D Did you happen to note any efficiency numbers in either car? I'm not familiar with the Taycan so the percentages don't give me much context. Also, which was deemed to...

    Lucid Owner Session

Yea you Montco guys are a shady bunch ;) It was cool to hang out with the other owners as well as the Lucid staff. I had a nice convo with one guy (sorry forgot your name!) who said he lurks on the forum.

‘The vehicle suddenly accelerated with our baby in it’: the terrifying truth about why Tesla’s cars keep crashing

Because the vehicle doesn't "know" anything. Drive assist logic is merely a complex set of instructions that are strung together rapidly enough to be somewhat effective in meatspace.

    Air software version 2.10.0

As someone who complained loudly about the lack of release notes, I'm quite embarrassed to admit I missed the part about unplugging prior to updating. I did the update while plugged in to my home charger but encountered no issues. I don't hate the seat belt graphic, but it does feel less...

    ACC could be smoother

Really nice post! I've never given much thought to the differences in throttle mapping wrt regen enabled/disabled. The example visualization helped a lot. I wish Lucid would expose more of this sort of data in the UI, perhaps when in sprint or swift mode.

    Updated to 2.10.0..car dead

To be fair, I would think any sort of system fault should cause a pre-check for a software update to fail. But at the same time, really bad idea to ignore the fault and attempt the update. No support on Sundays so don't expect anything until next week.

    Air software version 2.10.0

I very much doubt support would roll anyone back. Just have to wait for a fix, if this is indeed a bug with no workaround.

    Lucid Owner Session

Yup as others mentioned, nothing ground breaking but still glad I attended. We met with service manager Chris and he gave us a nice tour of their workshop while our cars were given a complimentary check up and wash. KoP service center is impressive. I didn't realize they're handling all new...

    ACC could be smoother

Interesting, have you driven an Air? I'd be curious how you feel it compares to ACC in the Air. I've found the ACC in the Air to be the smoothest of any vehicle I've driven. I'd go so far to say it's one of the things I feel they've done a superb job with. I've always thought dropping out of...

    Hard Reset

I really wish they'd put a simple reboot option in the settings menu somewhere. Lucid is certainly not the only manufacturer guilty of having users perform these radical maneuvers just to trigger a reboot.

    Lucid Owner Session

Anybody else get an invite to a Lucid Owner Session this weekend? The email says they'll have a hands-on walkthrough of new software features and vehicle settings, could be interesting! I RSVP'd for the KoP center, if anyone else from the forum will be there it would be fun to say hi.

    Potential new Lucid Air Owner

Above all else, it is fun to drive. The '25 is a good model year to target; in addition to the heat pump, the '25 also comes with the upgraded CPU for more responsive UI and supposedly additional features in the future. I see you're in PA, those 19" wheels are a must when dealing with PennDOT's...

Chicago-Phoenix Road Trip #3 (this time without EA chargers!)

One of the reasons I like them - no silly app needed, just tap your card on the stall. But totally hear you on the price.

Chicago-Phoenix Road Trip #3 (this time without EA chargers!)

Wow that's some solid planning - I guess it's warranted with that kind of mileage. Can't say I've done a Chicago-Phoenix trip but it sounds like a great route. Don't discount Rivian's "adventure network." I've had great experiences at every one of their open chargers that I've tried. A bit...

I've joined the club - Stopped at red light, rear ended in Napa

That's really crummy. If it wasn't alcohol then I'm sure it must have been mobile device distraction. Thank goodness for the gap coverage. If you liked the vehicle why not get another one?

    Air software version 2.10.0

I wouldn't be surprised if they paused the rollout for the holiday. No sense risking a change while most of your support workforce is out of office.
