New Highway Drone - Looking for Ideas / Advice

Aw I thought you meant you bought some cool drone camera that could track you at speed... I'm thinking loose trim maybe? There's a lot of plastic bits down there, could have lost a clip that only becomes apparent at speed.

    Chicago Winter Driving

Is there a reason you're targeting the 2024 MY specifically? Lots of improvements in the 2025+. To your specific question, I personally wouldn't want to deal with RWD in such a heavy vehicle on snow/ice. But if you're mostly in the city it would probably be manageable for a sensible driver.

    Phantom Braking in Reverse

Yes, it's awful. I find that if I hover on the brakes then the nanny system will not engage - i.e apply enough pedal pressure that the circuit engages but not enough that any braking force is applied.

Lease Return Warning / Question About Lucid End-of-Lease Inspection

The image of the report you posted lists it as a 5" scratch, not 1.5". Seems like you may have clipped a curb at some point? If I was buying that car I'd want it repaired before taking delivery.

Will marketing finally make a turn? Ex Hyundai executive hired by Napoli

Anything to help brand awareness is a positive step. I'm tired of being asked "who makes Lucid?"

    Sirius Radio Sketch Connection

That's a more simple solution, although from what OP said I got the impression they're often traveling in rural areas with no data service from any carrier.

    Sirius Radio Sketch Connection

One of those bafflingly poor design choices. I'm guessing they save money on the satellite receiver components. You could buy an aftermarket Sirius radio and mount it somewhere in the car. Super jank imo but this is where we are.

My experience with a 2025 AGT after 34k miles in my 2023 AGT

Nice to hear it. Aside from Lucid improving their manufacturing and QA over the years, there are several tangible component upgrades in the 2025+ cars that'll make a real difference - CCCv2, heat pump, motor mounts that you mentioned, to name a few. On top of that, those summer tires will be a...

    Air conditioning impact on range

Have you tried driving any sort of distance with the windows closed and the AC off? I think the system is doing more work than you might think.

    Embarrassed Lucid praise moment

I don't think any reasonable owner expects every feature to be 100% flawless, but I don't think it's unreasonable to expect keyless entry to be 100% flawless (especially when there is no option for "keyful" entry). It's a mature feature in the industry and has worked 100% reliably in cars for...

    Embarrassed Lucid praise moment

We should also account for differences in users' tolerance for the problem. There have been many instances in prior threads where someone will post that they never have any problems unlocking/locking, and then go on to describe how sometimes it takes several seconds, or several handle pushes to...

    12 volt battery

Your owner's manual states the 12v should be replaced every 4 years. Crack it open and take a look at the maintenance schedule, you might be missing more items that need attention. More subsystems depend on the 12v than in a typical ICE since there's no accessory belt to power things like power...

    Embarrassed Lucid praise moment

Your experience is so on point. Lucid sent me a survey a few days ago asking if I'd recommend their products to friends/family, and I had to say no precisely because of this kind of thing. This brand is not for "the normals" yet, but damn if it isn't the best car I've ever owned.

Favorite Gravity Feature of the Day

I scoffed and rolled my eyes at the sanctuary feature when I first learned of it. But damn if I didn't nearly fall asleep while I was sitting in the studio show model with those rollers under my butt while the routine played over the sound system. Hope that comes to my Air someday!

    Blended Braking

Yes, in a performance setting I'd agree with you. Repeated heavy cycles may result in a bit less fade since the regen is helping. In the context of an emergency stop situation though, I think you'd still face an overall limit in the traction of the tires.

Nobody left working Lucid Support? (Also, dark pattern hold music.)

Is this a dark pattern? It's certainly never been an impetus for me to hang up when I encounter it. I assumed the voice prompt is due to the short music loop, whoever configured it probably never bothered to change the default.

Still on 2.8.30 on my Air Touring

Good to know, thanks for the pics. Haven't had any need to mess with it but it's nice to know where it is. Resetting the modem was a regular thing when I had a Polestar 2, but they stowed it in one of the pillars behind some plastic trim piece that would never go back on correctly. Fortunately...

Still on 2.8.30 on my Air Touring

How'd you reset it? Pull a fuse or did you have to pull up some trim to get at the device?
