    Trunk Failure Warning

I had these issues back in November (thread). I speculated at the time that it was a water issue. Certainly seems related to some kind of electronic component in the trunk area, potentially with connectivity issues. Most of my issues went away when things (presumably) dried out. The trunk...

Electrify America: you may need to open the Lucid App to charge!

I get this maybe 20% of the time? It's a minor inconvenience compared with waiting for all the Bolts to get out of the way ...

    NACS Megathread

I'm slightly more optimistic ... if all the 400V cars **** off to Tesla superchargers, it leaves EA for us with our superior 800V architecture :D My understanding is that, to qualify for NEVI funding, new stations - NACS or CCS - need to be able to supply 1000V.

    DMV Lucid Owners

9th or 23rd probably best for me but I’m pretty flexible

    Post/share your non-Lucid other car(s)! (ICE-appreciation thread?)

A new addition to the ICE fleet … this will live in semi-retirement in NH:

    Bi directional power to home

V2H or V2G may take a while. But now that V2V is implemented, relatively simple V2L - a la Kia or Hyundai - should be doable. I did try a J1772 NEMA 5-15 adapter when the V2V kit arrived, but it didn’t work :(

    DMV Lucid Owners

Also in - great idea! I had been meaning to suggest something similar for a while. For those nearby, we could begin at Katie’s Cars and Coffee? Would be fun to see a ton of Lucids there. Will be fun to meet some of y’all

Trade in value 2022 Lucid GT

I can't remember which of the trade-in sites it was, but one of them gave me a value of $67k a few months ago for my black one. I'd put yours somewhere in the low 60s, I'm afraid. Unfortunately the market is in a very different place than when you sold your plaid. If you do want / need to...

    EA is Improving

I agree, EA has definitely improved - with one caveat. The "Signet Surge" is gone, and probably 75% of the time (for me, at least), everything works as it should - including plug and charge (although, compared with Tesla, it's still slow to authenticate). Maybe another 20% of the time I have...

    2022 vs 2023 Grand Touring

The inbuilt wireless charging is crap. Widely documented on here. I got a couple of wedges 3D-printed, added a couple of pucks and now it works perfectly.

    Spied at the Ring

The resolution in the video isn't good enough to read the plates on the Lucid, although I don't see the red manufacturer lettering of the DE earlier in this thread. Looking at the Aston, though, I'm pretty sure it's this car, KY23MTE. Number plate is grainy in this still but it's there. And...

Is it me? Lucid cruise is better?

I agree. Tesla has more functionality in theory but I always felt it was trying to kill me. The Lucid is smoother, more predictable, and I have more confidence in it.

No glitch - Hilton Head Island to Boston - 1000+ miles roadtrip

This is great. If only all EA trips could be like this!

Post your mi/kWh efficiency in inclement weather

I made similar decision yesterday. Driving from DC to South Bend I stopped at Bedford PA, Cranberry PA, and Blue Heron OH. The car can easily get from DC to Cranberry on one charge but I felt compelled to stop just in case there were lines or broken chargers elsewhere. In fact, though, the EA...

Yep we’ll be in NH, so will drive a couple of hours North to see totality. Wouldn’t miss it.

You don’t see these every day

For those who, like me, enjoy most automotive curiosities: here’s a trio of Ineos Grenadiers I spotted on the NJ turnpike yesterday. Didn’t realise they were over here.

Time for something fun: a car memory test

At the risk of turning this into yet another Porsche appreciation thread, I feel very much the same about my 968. It's not quick but you drive it.
