    Mine (2025 model) is flawless. But using Apple digital key plus not BMW phone is a key.

    No, of course not. I'm not sure about how Tesla does it but BMW uses Apple digital key which is part of the Apple wallet. The phone does not need to be on, no app needs to be launched. It is based on UWB and has an NFC backup.

    True on any car with GPS. CarPlay uses the internal GPS hardware so it can't be used for two things at once.

    This doesn’t make sense. There’s no reason to have both. If you have the fob in your pocket, mobile key is completely unnecessary. And even if you don’t use the fob, mobile key is not reliant on the app being open. It is, however, somewhat reliant on the phone being awake, at least to operate...

    Resets are for infotainment only and have nothing to do with the windows. Have you tried walking away and letting it sleep for a while?
