Not sure what you're referring to: every Gravity OTA has improved robustness.

I think a good implementation is still possible. If the person is continuously moving, don't open. If they walk to the back of the car and then stop, open. My truck works this way for the side doors.

I really don't see the number of screens making a big difference either way on how hard it is to have polished feeling software. The main impact is that the user interface design is more complicated if you want to give people an intuitive way to arrange the UI elements across different screens...
