I just think that functionality automakers used to be able to debug before delivering to customers, like proximity keys, should not have bugs nine months into production. I'm skeptical that the reason they can't get them to work has anything to do with security holes of previous implementations...

The big battery GM vehicles can charge 84kWh in 15 minutes. They are definitely more expensive to drive on a road trip than a gas car but so is my Model 3... For road trips what matters is the combination of charge speed and efficiency. The Gravity should be able to beat GM, still waiting for...

I believe them more than I believe EPA numbers (which aren't even measured by the EPA but are instead calculated by the manufacturer using a very simple model and then multiplied by an "adjustment factor")

One thing to be aware of with four wheel steering is that the rear end swings out and can hit things. The maximum rear angle on the Gravity is pretty small so it's probably not a big risk.

Tehachapi is kind of a hilly area to do a range test.

Drag Times measured the GT at 3.12s (w/ rollout) and 3.31 (wo/ rollout). Both versions don't reach peak horsepower until after 60mph and the DE is much quicker at very high speeds.

Yeah, that's the argument against the DE and why the 0-60 is almost identical to the GT.

Don't DE and GT have the same rear drive unit? I thought the power increase is from having the same drive unit for the front motor too.

That's slightly different than the configurator which shows hands free and automated lane change only being available with Pro. Presumably Pro is the only version with Lidar?

A tool that can do that should not exist. The tool should only be able to pair keys with a vehicle after getting a unique key from a secure system.
