Bye Lucid Air and Another Dear Lucid... Letter

I get your sentiment and would stand behind you fully with the Air which is why I rarely complained and downplayed it often (even in my post above). The Gravity is hard to defend. 400 miles in. Lucid is not a new car company at this point. They have years of manufacturing experience. And the...

Bye Lucid Air and Another Dear Lucid... Letter

Thank you! I too think I have been extremely fortunate to drive some of these cars! Heres quick breakdown: Honda Civic - I mean its a Honda, that thing would never die so minimal issues. It was my first car, had it about 3-4 years before I was able to save up enough money for the next car...

Bye Lucid Air and Another Dear Lucid... Letter

I just went and checked. 10/25 was the manufacturing date.

Bye Lucid Air and Another Dear Lucid... Letter

I soft reset the car twice and have left it to sleep in the driveway for the past hour or two. Went out and checked it again about 10 minutes before I wrote the post and unfortunately, still have slammed suspension, no option to adjust it (all options grayed out), and errors on the dash.

Here's the video snippet my girlfriend took if you want to see and hear the millions of errors I got for over an hour: https://photos.app.goo.gl/ifQp9PvSNXaHSbAw5

Bye Lucid Air and Another Dear Lucid... Letter

Hi everyone, My original plan was to come on here and be a dramatic troll with a misleading title. I was going to rag on how Lucid is going to go bankrupt, how the door handles and software stink, and how I finally couldn't handle it anymore and traded in my Air Dream Edition Performance...

If not an Air, which EV would you buy?

I’ve thought about this a lot recently with my air going out of warranty. We already have a taycan in the house which is the only other desirable EV to me but it’s not a great replacement to the air. I’ve come to the conclusion that I don’t think the air has a replacement. It’s even harder when...

I’d say layoffs to the service department are starting to have an effect…

Arbitration. I don’t know what car company would be willing to repurchase without legal ramifications.

I’d say layoffs to the service department are starting to have an effect…

That’s the route I took with the lotus. Took about 6 months from start to finish but lotus drug their feet quite a bit. The only thing I will note is that BBB will not allow you to charge the manufacturer for attorney fees. I fought it myself against lotus attorneys and still was successful but...

Service seems to have gotten less backed up, even mobile!

From my understanding, she still works for lucid just not for the Scottsdale service center. Her replacement Christ is very nice though! And has given me updates every couple days. Unfortunately those updates aren’t much other than they haven’t started on the cars service yet but still better...

Service seems to have gotten less backed up, even mobile!

Lena no longer works at the Scottsdale location nor does my previous mobile rep. Both of whom were phenomenal. I’ve never complained in the past about the level of service delivered to me. The amount of service sure but not the level of service. That is until this last encounter. I still can’t...

Service seems to have gotten less backed up, even mobile!

    1) The passenger door handle won’t wake the car but the others do. This was an overall improvement though as they had to replace all 4 door handles previously. 2) the window shades got stuck in the up position which meant I could roll down the back windows but no the shades. 3) the driver...

Service seems to have gotten less backed up, even mobile!

The AZ service center is currently slammed. I had a mobile tech come out in December, just before my warranty expired on Jan 20th, to address four specific issues. Despite his claims that they were fixed, the failures were still obvious right in front of him. He told me I’d need to go into the...

    Engineering Explained - Lucid Responded

Along these same lines, if UX 3.0 is still buggy, could you imagine telling people they need to spend $1k on the upgraded infotainment processor and they get a similar buggy experience? Seems really risky for Lucid and they really need to knock UX 3.0 out of the water from a stability perspective.

    Engineering Explained - Lucid Responded

One of my biggest takeaways is that UX 3.0 is locked behind the infotainment chip upgrade...Understand it but ouch.

    2.8.17 update

Release notes. Just received mine. For better or for worse “robustness” lives on.

I have a different issue. Every so often the car won’t adjust my seat. I go to the seat section and the restore button is greyed out. There’s times I even make a fake change to the seat and the restore button stays gray. I have to adjust it manually when this happens

100% agree. This seems like the hurry up, damage control response. Would love to know a little more details behind what they plan to do with their new talent and areas they are trying to address. A rough timeline would be *chefs kiss*.

    Engineering Explained. This is bad.

You are right. That’s on me. Bad math. Brain fart, thought I had a 2020 but the taycan is a 2020. Looks like the first delivery was Oct 21. So probably 6-8 years in the making (maybe more). I still stand by my point though. Time is slipping and pretty soon they won’t be the new kid on the block...

    Engineering Explained. This is bad.

How long can we realistically continue to say this though? Lucid has had cars on the road for 6 years and cars in production for probably 8-10. At some point, we can’t continue to hide behind “early adopters”. I predicted this meltdown would happen 2 years ago when I got my DE. I stressed user...
