Equipments do break sometimes. When your car is damaged or the adapter melts, Lucid may not cover the warranty due to using a non-Lucid adapter. In my opinion, the price difference is because of the accountability.

I think the feature only works on roads approved by Lucid, regardless of whatever the state calls them. There's a list, but we don't know what roads are included until we try them out ourselves, as many Canadians are now finding out.
