I agree with your last sentence. I think it's possible they chose frameless to get the glass closer to the outside surface of the door and roof, minimizing the transition in surfaces and thereby improving the aerodynamics. I too am not an automotive engineer or designer, and just speculating. Pete

Sometimes the drain hose for the AC will become blocked or kinked causing the water to stay in the system. It doesn't take long for the to become stagnant. Probably will require service to check it out. Pete
