    The Long Goodbye

That's a shame if it's so, as I was hoping the ~30% more processing headroom Dlala says they're creating would sweep a lot of our issues away. If they don't arise from a common root cause, it may be a longer slog.

    The Long Goodbye

Agreed. But to those who think I'm exaggerating the problems we're seeing, I spent a while today at Lucid's request sending them what information I could about exactly when and what issues have occurred. So far I have sent them eight time-and-date-stamped photos and videos of different...

    The Long Goodbye

I'm a Luddite, so help me here. When Dlala said this, I figured it meant that all the systems were continuously running in the background whether they were being used or not. Is that not the case? I assume that Lucid is reading the logs when working on problems, as they have always asked me...

That could just as easily mean there aren't enough problem-free owners to keep such a thread alive. I'm curious why you think it must mean that the great majority of Gravity owners aren't having any problems. I did take a look at that thread, though. I was surprised to see that @gaskiller...

    The Long Goodbye

We never use any ADAS features or CarPlay (which we've loaded in only one Gravity). I'm not even sure the owner can turn off the cameras, nor would I be willing to as I view them as critical to the safety or driving and parking such a vehicle.

    The Long Goodbye

This is, of course, anecdotal. But a few weeks after 3.5.1 came out, the guy who does the "UpcurrentEVs" YouTube channel called us to meet him for dinner. He lives near us and has a Gravity he has been reviewing on his channel. He was preparing a video on software updates and wanted to...

    The Long Goodbye

I've stayed quiet about this thus far, because I don't want to get anyone in trouble. But I can say this much . . . I've dealt with Lucid mobile techs in three states due to issues we've had with our Lucids on road trips. All were extremely helpful, and all have been in their jobs since...

    The Long Goodbye

You are, of course, right that life is too short to worry too much about a car. Unfortunately, for those of us who take special pleasure in driving and could not care a whit about things such as ADAS, the allure of a Lucid when everything is working right is so incredibly strong that we are...

You know, there’s a way to call something out without insulting personal insinuations about someone. Just sayin’.

    The Long Goodbye

If some of our issues derive from too limited processing headroom to handle the configuration of any Gravity trim level, how exactly is that NOT symptomatic of a systemic issue? You're clearly irritated by my existence, but I never thought or pretended I'm the first person to hear from Emad...

    The Long Goodbye

It's good that you have had no problems, and I truly hope there are a lot more of you out there. But one of the things Dlala told me is that we are having so many problems because there was not enough processing headroom to run all the subsystems in a fully-optioned Dream Edition. That's one...

    The Long Goodbye

Same here in south Florida. We try to get all our chores and running around done early before the dreaded "swamp ass" sets in and sends us to the showers.

    The Long Goodbye

Turns out he is in Arizona working with the team on software for the production-intent Cosmos. He really did text me at 4:23 a.m. his time.

    The Long Goodbye

It's taken Lucid too long and cost them too much in reputation, but I now think Lucid has finally woken up to this. Despite the software horrors of our first 10 months with an Air, I kept buying their products (and still have the Air) for exactly the first set of factors you list. Outside of...

    The Long Goodbye

I know some think that Lucid's response to me is just PR management. However, as I've posted previously, I've been to this rodeo before with cars having a large amount of problems or even one serious and intractable problem. I actually had to get rid of two of them for that reason: a C5...

    The Long Goodbye

Well, actually it didn't. Some time ago a Lucid employee who saw my first post about it contacted me for more information about it, and it was referred to the HQ software team. I then heard from the Miami Service Manager who sent a mobile tech to get a video of the behavior. The problem was...

    The Long Goodbye

Some do. But many don't. Frequently I will post about a problem we've had and, over the next few days, posts will pop up from generally quiet posters who have experienced the same issue but weren't inclined to be the first to post about it. This has happened with the ambient LED lighting...

    The Long Goodbye

I got a call today from the Miami Service Manager and his Regional Manager. Among the issues we discussed were our key fobs. We have four of them, two for each of our Gravity Dream Editions. Each car was delivered with a single key fob, and a mobile tech delivered the second fob for each car...

    The Long Goodbye

Just got a text this evening from Emad. He said they are working to address several of the issues we've experienced recently, especially unlocking/locking, with the update later this month. He said the issue that I and other posters have reported with the LED ambient lighting will be addressed...

    The Long Goodbye

You are speaking from personal experience just as much as I am. You have put forward not one whit of evidence that Gravity software issues have largely disappeared other than your own experience and a supposed absence of complaints from most posters. Emad Dlala never asserted in yesterday's...
