i wonder if this is a widespread boa thing, or only for lucid-boa relationship. like if someone was to go to boa to apply for a 60k ICE vehicle auto loan rn, will they also ask for tax returns? if not, maybe boa is trying to collect additional info on prospective lucid buyers so that they can...
anyone try the other atmos music providers like amazon music and apple music? i know it won't be the native in car app, but wondering if phone app amazon music/apple music via bluetooth will sound better than spotify
for the old pricing, full spec Touring and AGT was about 25k difference before tax. Now, depending on how the 7.5k credit applies to your personal situation, that difference may shrink down to ~17.5k.
for me, i couldn't justify the extra 25k for 100 more miles (since i dont do long distance...
im interested in a lot of the market research that went into the sapphire, like
1) if the people would still be angry if they had announced the sapphire for 1st half of 2024. cuz having about 2 years of exclusivity before the delivery of a exclusive performance line might be more than enough...
for those with more financial/wall street knowledge, if Lucid and the PIF made an $8 billion capital injection deal, would they still have to do this announcement and go down this route? or, for a lack of a better term, would a wire transfer of $8 billion in exchange for x more existing shares...
my bad, should've been more clear. I agree with you. was pointing to the fact that when people keep saying "tesla has better tech," they're completely dismissive of tech also having a hardware component, and not just software aspect.

this explains it. according to the article, many provisions of the bill starts at the end of the year regarding the $7.5k credit. however, one provision that starts immediately for the 7.5k credit is...
i bet someone is gonna argue that they couldve done some basic research and found the 5% rule (which i think is a valid point), then send us the binding agreement for 5% of the car cost, instead of just the $300/$1000 deposit. i personally think that wouldve caused a whole other set of issues...
agreed. can you imagine what this forum wouldve been like if lucid gave us the option of confirming the deposit, but it had to be 5% of the car value while providing us the IRS language as their proof/reasoning? there's absolutely no winning for anyone in this situation.
what if they made one of those dial options when you call in, "press 9 to reset charger," then you proceed to input the charger number/ID or whatever, so for experienced EA users, you can default to that option first before speaking with a CSR
got a response from my SA, here's pretty much the main points
1) we do not need to finalize the vehicle design. final configuration and design can be placed once production begins
2) "Should you confirm your Air Pure order and wish to upgrade after receiving your invite to order you may upgrade...
wondering if i should confirm my pure now, then upgrade to touring later (hope we still keep old pricing and the 7.5k credit), or just upgrade and confirm to touring now to bypass all of that in case something happens. i assume upgrading now would secure the old pricing and tax credit also
the way my SA explained to me, that window was for upgrading to GT. but since the touring isn't in production yet, this window didn't apply. when they start producing tourings, they most likely will give us pure reservation holders X weeks window to upgrade to touring at old pricing.
for those that have a pure reservation, but want to upgrade to the touring, if we confirm our pure reservation, will we still be able to 1) upgrade to touring at the old pricing, and 2) will the touring get the 7.5k credit?
texted my SA to figure this out, but was hoping someone here had...
another question would be, for those like me that put a deposit down for a pure ($300), but had the intention of upgrading to touring, would confirming my $300 deposit to lock in the purchase agreement/$7.5k credit carryover to my future upgrade, or will it only be for the original reservation...
maybe theyre trying to go for the "incomplete image/teaser" type marketing, where they slowly reveal more and more to build up to the final reveal. but idk, this doesn't have the same feeling. can't imagine this picture being the final cut.
lucid talks about vertical integration. i have no idea how they currently source and supply their parts. maybe they want to go the way of tesla and start manufacturing parts in house?
