once its in a high temp state, manually throttling down makes it charge at less than 50% of setting, irrespective of what that setting is. meaning, if you set it to 40a after its warm, it won't use it all. it will only charge at less than 50% of that because its already warm. its like its...

40a and 56a have worked for me without throttling. Today ambient temp was 72F and on whim I pushed it to 80a with soc at 52% to charge to 80% and was throttled to 7/8 kw after about 25-30 mins of 17/18 kw. So I don’t feel ambient temp is a major factor for me.

I realized that when I ran the 56a and 50a “tests” that the car was already in a throttled state. The past few days when I need to charge on separate occasions, I initiated sessions at 40a and 56a separately and kw stayed stable the entire charge cycle which lasted 3 hrs and 1.5 hrs...

a few more observations from today I just ran the unplug and replug test and it only worked momentarily. - started charging at 18kw - i checked again 13 min later and it was down to 8kwj, ust under 50% of what should be available - i stopped the charging, unplugged and plugged it back in, and...

well summer months is a bit of a generic term as temperatures do vary based on location. where are you located and how many cycles have you done at 56kw? i'm not entirely buying that yet. in the northeast, a good summer day may still be cooler than a winter day in florida, arizona etc...

if people are experiencing similar issues with other brand chargers, the issue maybe elsewhere. next time i need to charge, i'm going to do it during the day, and stop and restart it to see if it stays at 18kw as mentioned in this thread. if it starts back at 18 and continues, it would imply...

Hopping on the thread to say the same! I’m not sure when this started but I noticed this atleast a month ago. Didn’t think much of it at the time. I’m on a 100a breaker with the LHCS connected to a sub panel installed by an electrician and properly torqued. Used to see 18kw dropping to 11kw...

Just like they delivered a few gravity at the end of Dec and presumably got a check mark for doing it, yes they could have pushed it out to a few. But that’s not in the spirit of announcing a release is it.
