    Aggressive Braking in Cruise

You’re engaging collision avoidance which is why the car is braking so hard. There are differences in ADAS implementations across manufacturers so you can’t assume it works the same just because brand X did it a certain way.

    Questions About OTA Update Process

I was out of the country for both .43 and .47 updates. The app notified me that both updates were available for installation and I installed both via the app while away from home. About the only time I thought about the car was when we were being driven around and thinking “I would never drive...

    Scheduled Maintenance

For mobile visits, they test the voltage and if it’s 3V, they don’t replace. Then a couple months later, I had to use the app to unlock the car and input my pin to drive since it couldn’t detect the fob. Next day I used the dead fob on b pillar to unlock and replaced the battery. So I agree...

    Auxiliary Power Supply Fault

I’ve DCFC charged to 100% when I’m going to be far from even L2 chargers on road-trips. Just really bad luck and hopefully this repair will be the end of it.

Off-Topic CyberTruck is now in showrooms

My fanboy brother got on the waitlist early but finally got tired of waiting and bought a MY. He might still get the truck in what he thinks will be 3 years when his slot comes up.

    Highway Assist Lane Centering

After lane biasing was introduced in HA, it became much less stable in maintaining position within the lane. Before the feature was implemented, I used HA all the time. I stopped using it after as it fails to stay in the lane too often. Drove between San Diego and Seattle mainly using...

    Software update 2.1.20

It locks the A/C control but not the seat heaters. Found that out when the dog kept turning the rear seat heaters on so I locked the rear display but he was able to still turn the seat heaters on. This reminds me I need to report this to CS.

    2023 Software Updates

As a general FYI, I was told by CS that once a car fails an update, no updates will be shipped until the failure is corrected. So if an update fails, we should always contact CS to have it pushed again. If you ever need to know if you are missing an update, just check lucidupdates.com - site...

Car Washing...what are your tips and tricks

Wash mine about once a month...sometimes skip a month. I'm lucky the car doesn't read this forum to know how neglected and abused it is.

Sudden unwanted braking while on Adaptive cruise

Costa Mesa is a little closer. Maybe one of the Palm Springs owners knows if a mobile tech services that area.

    Navigation system

It does well routing around traffic jams but is terrible in some situations. It isn’t up to date on highway construction. It tried to route me on 101 when it had been closed for weeks on the Olympic peninsula while google knew. Took a long time to stop trying to send me back to the 101 while...

Car Washing...what are your tips and tricks

https://www.xpel.com/Ceramic-boost-spray I use it every 3 to 4 months and it improves the hydrophobic properties and slickness of the ceramic coating. I get water spots but they are easily removed. To give you an idea of improved slickness, the Lucid bear sticker will not stick to the car. ymmv.

Fast Charging EA Stations in SD

On the 15 corridor, it's hit-or-miss. Sometimes it's great, sometimes average and other times poor. I never know if I'm going to get 170 or 120 or 60 from a 150 station. The station @Amster pointed out first (Oceanside, 78 and El Camino) is the Walmart Supercenter off the Jefferson exit, not...

Suggestion to make it easier to deal with variable effective range

Just adding that if native nav adds a charging stop, the display will show miles remaining at the stop. Once recharged, it will update miles remaining at destination. Then keep updating as you drive and encounter different conditions that impact your efficiency.

Electrify America is enraging EV owners

My experience with EA on a road trip over 3600 miles was pretty good. One 350 charger was slow (<60) but when I switched to a 150 at the same location, got 170. The other 350s on the trip all gave me at least 250 initial rate and the couple of 150s I used were also good. 2 of the stations, I...

Road trip from Olympia to Reno

If you charge in Sutherland, OR or it’s close to meal time, I can recommend Wailani shave ice and island grinds (2 blocks South of EA station). Outdoor tables only so dog friendly but exposed to wind. I walked there while charging.
