Open Letter to Peter and Team - a rant

The last couple years in manufacturing have been wrought with unprecedented massive challenges for everyone, not just the automotive industry. For example, my brother is an aerospace industry mechanical engineer and his company was supposed to deliver a liquid helium cooling system this week...

Open Letter to Peter and Team - a rant

Yeah sure communication could be better but LCID has barely been trading one year and nearly all stocks have been crushed by this market, like two years ago who would have predicted AAPL would be in the toilet? Anytime something doesn’t go their way it’s like everyone is suddenly incapable of...

    Range question

I did a 700 mile round trip. One charger wouldn’t authenticate so I had to pay to get it to work but otherwise plug and charge worked at every EA I tried. I still however cannot use any charger at my local EA and nobody can figure out why.

    Software Glitches

Maybe in the future there will be a sequence of button pushes on the steering wheel while in park that could reset the car. I think that would be a good idea. I’ll need to reset the car maybe once every two weeks or so? It’s usually because the audio quit working. Other glitches I’ve found...

    Rear Deck Creaking Noise

After listening closely with the HVAC and music off, my car has no back seat noises that are noticeable or not attributable to my kid ‘s car seat. However I did discover a new noise which is a buzzing sound from the drivers side windshield at speeds over 72mph at colder temperatures. Seals...

Did you try the Bobby reset (log out off profile and info guest?)

    Rear Deck Creaking Noise

Yeah mine does that. It’s quiet when fully up or down though. It’s funny though because all this time I thought the occasional creaky noise I heard from the back was my kid’s car seat, now I’ll have to investigate further. It’s the only noise I’ve ever noticed in the car, steering wheel is...

2.0.15 - The MOAU - Mother Of All Updates

No joking, the film director Barry Sonnenfeld (Men in Black movies, Addams Family etc) had two Lotus Esprits so he could drive one while the other was in the shop. Not sure if they were from before Rawlinson was at Lotus or after!

I can't believe this happened to me

I hope you enjoyed your Rawlinson snake oil drinking binge and this final time your vehicle worked @hydbob because tomorrow your car will brick itself in the middle of a railroad crossing. Customer service won’t be able to help either because Lucid is going bankrupt. As the train is barreling...

2.0.15 - The MOAU - Mother Of All Updates

Ah yes this forum so many times has been down this road where it is revealed that so many people think more money buys them less issues. Money doesn’t buy the time necessary to polish something like new software and iron out wrinkles, nor does it buy your way out of a supply chain shortage or...

    Satisfied

If you read Sam’s posts on Reddit, it’s everyone. Anecdotally based on owners I’ve met it’s 0%. I’m going to guess in reality it’s less than 1%. While there are several reports of serious problems on here, it’s important to remember what selection bias is.

    Satisfied

Yeah after climbing into a cozy pre-warmed car at 5:30AM I drove in to work and had someone on my left blocking my merge onto the highway with cars behind them….so I merely accelerated past them and watched their lights get very tiny very quickly in the rear view mirror, then turned on highway...

Glitchy and Unreliable HomeLink: A Work Around... Alexa->LiveKey->MyQ apps

Yeah I got HOOBS cuz I wanted the simplified UI so I wouldn’t have to spend as much time on it cuz I don’t understand programmer brain haha. HOOBS was super easy, just plug in and follow instructions. But yeah it’s basically a RaspberryPi for a lot more $ with better packaging/interface.

Glitchy and Unreliable HomeLink: A Work Around... Alexa->LiveKey->MyQ apps

Yeah I have the HOOBS box so just downloaded their MyQ homebridge and it worked. But it would be nice to cut out homebridge entirely.

    Brick or Turtle Incidence

Yeah the touch layers and display must not be the same module, as I’ve had the main screen respond as if I were touching the charging screen, like touching mirrors would start battery precondition. The Bobby reset cured it, never happened again.

Glitchy and Unreliable HomeLink: A Work Around... Alexa->LiveKey->MyQ apps

How did you get MyQ to work with HomeKit? I had to set up a Homebridge to get it to work.

Use the Steering Wheel Media Controls

Haha that’s because it’s not a reset, as mentioned above. It’s a feature request. You can totally reset most of the car though as long as the screens work by logging out of your profile and into guest profile, then log back in. This seems to fix many many problems you’d normally need a reboot...

    Brick or Turtle Incidence

It’s weird that it’s ALL screens, as I think glass cockpit, right screen and pilot panel have separate modules. Can’t do the Bobby reset if no screens! So you’re stuck with valet card reset.
