    Locked Out

You really like to put words in other people’s mouths and thoughts in their heads. How about trying to stick with your own thoughts and your own head? The rest of us can speak for ourselves.

25 GT came without floor mat posts

Are you sure that's a 2025? The newer cars should definitely be coming with posts now. I'd check with Lucid to see if they messed something up.

Lucid Air's Number One Software Issue?

I always feel bad for people who seem to have constant issues. I have none at this point, which is why I’m not convinced all of these annoyances are strictly the fault of software on its own. Rather, it’s the combination of software and perhaps intermittently malfunctioning hardware. Also, the...

    RESOLVED Android Auto Thursday

Ha. And of course, as soon as I say that, Apple announces this: https://www.apple.com/newsroom/2025/05/carplay-ultra-the-next-generation-of-carplay-begins-rolling-out-today/

    RESOLVED Android Auto Thursday

In fairness, literally no one has CarPlay 2 yet. That’s on Apple. None of the promised manufacturers has shipped a single car with it. So, something is very wrong with how it’s being rolled out.

    gravity manual?

I would definitely like an exterior button for the frunk. I use the frunk on my Air all the time. Gravity, if anything, has an even more useful frunk, thanks to the ability to use it as a bench for changing into hiking shoes, snow cleats, etc. It’s the sole reason I continue to carry the fob...

    gravity manual?

I’m just going to leave this here without comment: https://publications.infotainment.prod.atieva.com/cad3747a-cbc1-441d-8be0-2a720ab2a3ab/content_en-US/index.html I was never here…

Floor mat choices for Santa Cruze

I had the graphite Lucid mats before the ceramic was available. They matched well enough and indeed showed dirt a bit less. The ceramic are a pain in the butt, but I bought a light interior for a reason. So I don’t mind scrubbing them every now and then.

Lucid Mobile App – UX Observations & Curious if Others Feel the Same

Interesting that people are still having issues with the car waking. The old app, yes. Sometimes would take more than a minute, or fail altogether. With the new app, my car wakes within five seconds just about every time. I think a lot of it comes down to where your car is and how the...

Software Preview Event, May 21 and 22

Like it or not, Lucid is located in the Bay Area. The software team is located in the Bay Area. Putting on a small event with a small number of customers is muuuuch easier to justify and much less expensive if you do it where your team already works. Otherwise, you are flying team members...

Lucid and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology reported a strategic partnership.

It’s also a great sign, if you ask me, that the KSA very much still believes in Lucid and that Lucid isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. I think we can all agree that’s good news.

Lucid and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology reported a strategic partnership.

There’s really no reason to assume this. The press release simply implied a new collaboration. There’s zero reason in my mind to assume Lucid would let go of anyone on their own staff or stop developing this technology themselves internally. Seems more to me like this university will simply...

    Profile changes without prompting

Is she the “primary” account? I’ve found the car wants to default to the primary account all the time. Drives us nuts, too. Similar size differential. Only I’m primary, so it doesn’t happen to me. Only her. We unlinked her keys to any profile, and that stopped it. But now she has to manually...

    Update 2.6.16

YMMV as always. But this update was a massive improvement to Drive Assist for me. No more slowing on sharper curves. Keeps the lane much more effectively. And just smoother all around. Big shout out to the ADAS team.

    More Tech Info on Gravity

The more I read about Gravity, the more a refresh of Air sooner rather than later makes sense to me. it would have to be cheaper to move both platforms to this new motor design.

Lucid will not offer heads-up display on Gravity GT (for now)

This might be a good time to remind people to read a thread before posting. A lot of repetition and talking in circles going on here at the moment.

Lucid will not offer heads-up display on Gravity GT (for now)

Part of the reason the DE hasn't sold out yet is that it's a slightly rarer bird who wants what "Dream Edition" means when it comes to an SUV. More horsepower on a sedan? Yes, please. In a 7-seater? I can't drive like a maniac with kids in the car, anyway. So meh? There have been high...

Lucid will not offer heads-up display on Gravity GT (for now)

Okay. So retrofit is unlikely. I'd assume that's a no and set expectations accordingly. So if you really, really need a HUD, wait a year or two. If you can live without it, enjoy the extra money in your pocket.

This one aged well.😁 Just giving you some guff. Don’t take it personally.

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

Communication is hard. And I agree, Lucid isn't always great at it. But we don't know the circumstances. It's entirely possible they are not at liberty to say what happened.
