QUESTION Gravity: Delivery in Scottsdale AZ - Live in Florida

Ugh. This is unfortunate. Sorry this happened to you. If I had a nickel for every time a sales rep gave someone bad information, I could afford another Lucid.

Gravity test drive impressions, Millbrae CA showroom

Yes. Agreed. Lucid was always destined to win over former Tesla customers. And you are right that at least in the 3-row EV space, there are bound to be a lot more Model X owners who have had their cars long enough to be considering something new than other brands. Other brands’ models are likely...

    $30K Lease for a Car I Can’t Drive — Lucid Ghosted Me

See, here is where I have to quibble with you just a bit. You are claiming Lucid vehicles “make people sick.” And that’s just not borne out through any quantifiable evidence. You get sick when driving your Air. I absolutely believe that you are sincere when you say that. But no one else has...

Lease return excess wear & tear

Yes. I tried to log in recently and it told me my account had been “closed” as well. Their web site has always been a nightmare. My payments keep going through, so I’m just going to leave it be until my lease is up in December. Don’t want to jinx anything. LFS has been an “experience” to...

Spotify versus Apple Music Sound Quality

I find it much easier to use the Tidal app on my phone. Create a playlist there with Atmos tracks via search. Then that will sync to the car. The car’s native Tidal app isn’t so great for finding these tracks, in my opinion.

Steering - play and creaking from column

Thanks. This is the sort of post we love here. Practical advice, hard won from experience. And helpful to others who may be experiencing the same issue. Thanks for posting this. And do keep us posted if the new wheel works out.

My first week with my Gravity Dream Edition

I know some people still love their Power buttons. But to me, this is one thing Tesla got very right and Lucid was right to copy. The number of times I’ve sat down in other cars and wondered why the AC wasn’t already blowing cold air on me until I realize I need to hit “Start” first for no...

Distance adjustments using gap settings button

It’s helpful to think of the gap settings as measures of time, not distance. How much time would you need to react if the person ahead of you were to hit the brakes suddenly? The faster you go, the more time you would need. So the further away the car in front of you will be. That being...

Spotify versus Apple Music Sound Quality

Wireless CarPlay uses WiFi, not Bluetooth. But you are right; wired CarPlay is better for sound. Just not better enough for most “normie” people to bother. Straight up Bluetooth streaming is the worst. Then CarPlay / Android Auto wireless. (This is where most people decide it’s good enough.)...

    Valet Key

They do now. Not when I got my Air. So that’s two steps in the right direction.

    Valet Key

Completely agree. Call the card something else. Create an actual Valet mode (like Tesla did) that limits the car appropriately until the OWNER types in a PIN to disable. Seems like Gravity is a step in the right direction by eliminating PIN to drive. Now do the rest. And do the same for Air.

    $30K Lease for a Car I Can’t Drive — Lucid Ghosted Me

I am confused. First, let me say I’m sorry you are experiencing this physical issue. It sounds like maybe some sort of inner ear problem? I do hope a doctor can diagnose and figure out a solution for you. I can think of nothing specific about a Lucid vehicle that would cause this however...

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

So PIN to drive is strictly a privacy feature? Makes sense. Still not sure why Lucid doesn’t do a true valet mode. Limit speed, disable access to the frunk and trunk. AND disable profile switching. Glad they got rid of PIN to drive. Never understood the point of that feature, as no valet...

    What would you change?

Yes. And while we’re at it, I want to see passenger seat settings stored in a driver profile. For precisely the reason of switching between drivers during a single trip. Would be nice if BOTH seats moved accordingly.

Gravity test drive impressions, Millbrae CA showroom

Good question. I, too, would expect a lot of new folks to our forums from other SUVs from other brands. And not just EVs, necessarily. Not surprising a lot of Model X owners would be interested, though I guess. I just thought we’d see other brands, too. Maybe we will see more after the early...

    2.8.0 Software Update

A good time to remind folks to take everything customer care says with a grain of salt. This could be true. But given the history of wild claims from CC, it’s actually more likely to be false.

    2.8.0 Software Update

Uhh. Saying a software update is coming and missing it by a few days vs promising your cars won’t even have steering wheels in six months and still not delivering L3 4 years later? Not exactly apples to apples.

    Is my car “normal” quirky?

3 happens to me a lot, too. But it’s just the warning message. The car still lets you drive, right? I’ve never been able to figure out a rime or reason to when it happens. But now I just ignore it.

    Gravity test drives?

As pointed out elsewhere, just tap the button as if you do want to schedule a test drive, but then don’t actually finish the process. The app will stop asking after that.
