Easiest way to open up trunk (not frunk)?

In order for that button to be able to unlock the trunk while the doors were locked, it would have to send a signal out to the computer systems to be sure an authorized key was present. My guess is it's hard wired to something in the car internally that just looks for an unlocked state. It's...

    My Gravity coming together (pics)

Have to say, that's a real beauty. I was never a huge fan of black for Air, but I have to admit Gravity looks pretty darn slick in black with stealth.

    2.8.0 Software Update

Yes. It blinks one more time than I would if I were changing lanes myself. And that does annoy me. Super nitpick, but true.

Easiest way to open up trunk (not frunk)?

To clarify, this applies to the button on the trunk itself. No way around that. Opening the trunk with the fob will work with the doors locked. Double click and hold the fob button, and the trunk will open. Or you could use the phone or watch app.

    Lucid Misses Guidance

There are some things in life you can just always count on. Milestones that pass by and mark time with Swiss precision. Like every quarter, when Lucid misses their guidance. And then the raft of people who come here to pontificate about how the company is doomed and probably won't make it...

    2.8.0 Software Update

Me, two years ago when everyone was complaining about getting constant "Pay attention" warnings and "solving" it by turning off the warning instead of adjusting their steering wheel position: "You're going to want to make sure the camera can see you, because you'll need it when hands free...

[RESOLVED] Heads up with iOS 26 beta 3, breaks the app

I’m a bit behind because I’m traveling. But will have beta 5 installed shortly.

Silly girl question--where do you put a bag/briefcase?

I have a power frunk. Yes. That helps. And my car is white, so it doesn’t show fingerprints too bad.

Silly girl question--where do you put a bag/briefcase?

If you don’t need access to the bag while driving, the frunk is a good option. That’s where my laptop bag goes on every drive. I tend to use my frunk a lot more than my trunk. If you do need to have access to stuff in the bag, that’s a bit trickier.

End of Lease - Final Payment under collections

I get why they can’t use AutoPay for a final payment. The amount is going to vary from person to person. And you didn’t agree to have that specific amount auto-deducted. What if you wanted to dispute it? But the collections thing is just bad. Give us an address to send a check to. But collect...

    What would you change?

The lumbar definitely goes up and down. And it gets high enough for me at 6’2”. But everyone’s back is different.

    $30K Lease for a Car I Can’t Drive — Lucid Ghosted Me

This happens to me in literally any car with only one window open. I don’t know how anyone drives with a single window even cracked in a car. It feels like my head is going to wobble off my neck. I have to crack a second window somewhere to create a cross breeze, and then it goes away entirely...

My first week with my Gravity Dream Edition

iOS 26 will make a significant improvement on this front. It no longer auto-connects to the car’s audio system as soon as you get close to the car or open a door. It waits until you actually tap the brake or put the car into gear. So just walking by the car won’t cause the audio to switch...

    2.8.0 Software Update

    I’ll take that bet. $200 good? 😊

    2.8.0 Software Update

That’s not necessarily a safe bet. If your car isn’t scheduled to get 2.8.0, it may not necessarily be pushed during an unrelated service visit. I wouldn’t consider it strong evidence, at least. But here’s hoping you do get it.

    2.8.0 Software Update

No one reporting they got the update and no one getting the update are two very different things. And we know from many examples that Lucid employees from various departments are often not correct when they confer possible reasons for xyz to customers. That’s all I’ll say. Keep in mind, this...

    $30K Lease for a Car I Can’t Drive — Lucid Ghosted Me

To be honest, the only reason I’ve spoken about this in terms of legal liability is because that was your focus form the beginning of this thread. If your approach with Lucid has been to start off the conversation with a similar focus, this is likely the reason for their less than forthcoming...

    $30K Lease for a Car I Can’t Drive — Lucid Ghosted Me

Potentially dumb question: have you tried driving a different Lucid to see if it’s your car specifically that causes the issue? I wonder if Lucid service would be willing to let you drive a loaner for a week or so to see if that car also caused the same issue. If so, you’d have a more solid...

    $30K Lease for a Car I Can’t Drive — Lucid Ghosted Me

Thanks for your thoughtful reply. I do agree Lucid is not always the best at communication. They maybe aren’t handling this with the sort of grace one would hope for. Though I can only take your word for the experience, since they aren’t here to defend themselves. I just know from past...

New to the Lucid Family - From Model X to Gravity Dream Edition

This is the hope. Of course, Lucid needs to deliver on that. But it is helpful to put it in perspective. These systems take time to develop, and they always start off rough. Tesla’s especially. It was still pretty bad when I had my Model 3 a few years back. But I know it has gotten better since...
