Adding Ham Radio and Power to the Air Pure

Signal is sufficient to reach the local UHF repeater about 10 milesd away. The suction cup was slavaged from an old GPS mount and is the type that has a lever to draw the suction. I was leary also, but it has held for a couple of months. I tapped the power from the rear 12 V socket by running...

    Current State of Air

My 2025 Air Pure is great - 500+ miles from service, 2000 miles driven, 6 months old. Software updates have been flawless. The only bug is the fob/lock - unlock.

Adding Ham Radio and Power to the Air Pure

I am attaching some pictures showing how I added a VHF/UHF Ham Rig in my car. The tranceiver is in the compartment under the large screen, with only the control head visible. Note also the added 12V power and USB sockets and voltmeter. The antenna is quite inconspicuous. Perhaps there are some...

    Software Improvements and Features Suggestions

I just tried it. It worked 2 out of 3 times, the best since I have owned the car. The time it failed, it blew the horn, so the long press did not come quickly enough. Thanks much!!

    Software Improvements and Features Suggestions

Thanks - I'll try it. The problem is that my brain may be hard wired for Morse Code.

Thanks. That is my observation also. My small brain has not been able to master the dot dash timing for the trunk. For others it seems easy.

Thank you. I will try some more to find the right pattern.

    Software Improvements and Features Suggestions

Please report back on your ability to use short then long press to open the trunk. I never get the timing right.

    Software Improvements and Features Suggestions

I turned that off because it kept locking and unlocking when I was working in my garage. I would be content with a simple 'trunk open' button on my keyfob like my Wife's Lexus and every econo-car I have rented in the past few years has.

Lucid and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology reported a strategic partnership.

I found a way to express my Slate comments better: Think of the car like an Android or IOS phone. The hardware and core software, and all the safety related stuff is made or integrated by one Co, (Lucid in this case). But there are open interfaces so that approved software applications can...

    School me on delivery process

In Novemebr 2024, my 2025 Pure arrived in my driveway (via covered carrier) only a few days after it was delivered to the Florida studio about 500 + miles away.

Hah! But the Slate concept of specified interfaces for add-ons is a good idea that could apply to a luxury car. They would just be luxury add-ons.

Lucid and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology reported a strategic partnership.

Maybe they can devleop a reliable lock/unlock system. Having done that, they can move on to Android Auto. Seriously, I like what Slate is contemplating. For example, provide a mounting slot and power plug, and let users buy the A.A. devices and screens they want. Lucid could do this by showing...

    RESOLVED Android Auto Thursday

Show us the connection to the big screen (HDMI?) and we'll do it ourselves.

    Key Detecting Antennas

I would love to see a wiring diagram and more technical info for the car including: antenna locations. Also, cabling of the computer into the large screen in the front. Also, how the key fob works.

    Mobile key unlocking delay

I am dissapointed in Lucid for not owning up to the problems and coming up with fix. I sense that there are at least 2 problem areas, which may be related: Slow Wakeup and Poor Keyfob. A larger problem is lack of Lucid's comments and solution plan.

    Actual Key Fob Data

We/Lucid must pour our energy into technical cures, not litigation. I'm hoping that someone can analayze my post and find a way.

    Actual Key Fob Data

PLEASE LUCID OR SOMEONE: Offer a service (say $200 tops) where you mail in your old keyfob and receive a new one with buttons. It should not be rocket science to program in the lock, unlock and trunk codes in an aux. processor, especially if you have the old chip from the mailed in key. That...

    Mobile key unlocking delay

I prefer the keyfob, but there are problems and work-arounds: - It used to constantly lock/unlock the car when I worked in the garage. I turned that off. - I installed a much larger keyfob battery that I expect to last a year instead of 3 months. - The keyfob button does work to lock/unlock 95...

    Speculation Lucid UX 3.0

How about a lottery to predict the first day AA or the new UX3 is available to Airs? Put in $10. The winner's name in lights with the proceeds to Charity. I pick Oct 1, 2025. I'm optimistic.
