Trying to Decide: Differences Between Touring and Pure and 2025 model questions

Every day i drive it, I love it more. But the lock/unlock and key fob are persistant stones in an expensive shoe.

Are you using a Faraday Are you using a Faraday bag? Lucid is not going to touch mine with a CR2477 soldered in.

Key fob battery gonna die soon?

But the new key fob would then need internet access. That would be no better than using the cellphone and lucid Ap, which I dont want to do. My goal is a more reliable key fob. Thanks again.

Key fob battery gonna die soon?

Here are results from start of my research: - I would need HA Green hardware to run in the carand be awake all of the time. But its not rated for high temp, and consumes 1.7 W at idle. An old Android 12 phone might be better - You said elswhere that the 'Lucid mobile app talks to the internet...

Key fob battery gonna die soon?

Great! I'll start studying. I somehow should have known that segbrk was involved. The last time I used github was to convert my ancient Schober Organ to Miidi and Grandorgue. Thanks again - both of you.

Key fob battery gonna die soon?

I just looked at HA and some user notes. Someone has already used the 'open the fob and parallel the switch' method. The HA green hub is similar in function to the old Android phone (Android 12 and above needed) in my diagram. I have zero understanding of the car API. Can you please point me...

Key fob battery gonna die soon?

Thanks. Please elaborate: Are you talking about HA running on an SBC in the car and communicating with the car via Bluetooth and an API? That would be an intersting direction. THANKS!

Key fob battery gonna die soon?

Borski, Bobby and others: 1 - Can you point out a picture of the inside of the key fob. (FYI - This method may not work if the fob is locked from use when in the car.) 2 - Does the mobile ap work from inside the car? ie - Can you lock, unlock the doors and trunk with the mobile key while...

Trying to Decide: Differences Between Touring and Pure and 2025 model questions

Great words - Morse code fob with a rusty key. Open trunk (the few times it works for me) is a tightly timed letter A.

Trying to Decide: Differences Between Touring and Pure and 2025 model questions

I have a 2025 pure built in Oct 2024. Best parts: Top down view when parking, smooth, powerful, quiet drive, screen controls for most things, looks from passer bys Worst parts: Primative key fob and door/trunk unlock problems, clunky touch screen and unintuitive entertainment controls

Key fob battery gonna die soon?

I have been thinking about this - see the drawing below. - If there is access to the switch contacts in the keyfob, then the upper path could be used with a cheap RF remote control to parallel that vague switch, including doing precise timing of the bursts. - If that is not available, then...

Key fob battery gonna die soon?

1 - Where is the antenna to receive the keyfob push button BLE transmit? 2 - Is this the same antenna used for the passive unlock feature? 3- I know that the NFC antenna for the key card and fob swipe is in the B pillar. Please correct if I have assumed this incorrectly. 4 - Has anyone ever...

    RESOLVED Android Auto Thursday

I'm basically doing the same thing , with Android 15, a music player and Waze running on a large very responsive screen (about $139) in my center console. My guess is that AA and the key fob fix will not arrive in a useful timeframe.

Key Fob Battery Low - I Don't use it

Did you see the King trying to get into his Lucid?

RESOLVED "Passive Unlock is temporarily disabled”

I never enabled my mobile key. Two things are 100% certain: 1 - A significant number of people are having unlocking problems. 2 - Lucid has made no statement or done anything about it.

RESOLVED "Passive Unlock is temporarily disabled”

Yes. The door handle only works sometimes. My fob (with a heavy duty large battery) works all the time to wake the car. Then I can use the door handle.

RESOLVED "Passive Unlock is temporarily disabled”

I recall that before I ordered my Lucid I had seen one in a driveway near me. I went up to the driver and asked how he liked it. He said he loved it, and was anxious to show me the inside. BUT, he could not get it to open with the fob. After a bit of fumbling, he found his phone and got it open...

RESOLVED "Passive Unlock is temporarily disabled”

Pushing the door handle only works about 1/2 the time for me. I need to push the fob button twice, which should be unlock, but is detected as once and that honks the horn. Then, pushing the door handle works.
