Even simpler, just say "Alexa navigate home"
I love being able to tell Alexa to navigate to places by name for businesses and/or just speaking the address if I know it
The ones on the home screen of the pilot panel would "grey" out while moving so they could not be activated. I haven't checked but hopefully the new one on the left side of the glass cockpit also greys out
You do have to calibrate it before it will work. It instructs you to drive for 30 minutes on a fairly straight highway.
Some people think it may have to be an interstate highway rather than a small one and you may need to be using ACC during it.
Mine calibrated after less than 5 minutes using...
Make sure your key fobs are not too close while you are gone or out then in a faraday bag. That could cause larger loss too if the car keeps turning on.
I was committed to do it but intended to drive 15 minutes one way, loop around and do 15 minutes back. I ended up going at least that far one way just so I could experience the Highway Assist when it started working so quickly
Installed 2.0.8. Wanted to try highway assist.
It said you had to calibrate it for about 30 minutes on a fairly straight highway. Decided to get it out of the way. Within 5 minutes of ACC highway use a pop-up said Highway Assist is now available.
A little unnerving at first but you settle into...
True. I should wait until the full 4 updates are done to see the final version. Obviously thrilled so far.
It's funny how unnatural the red car feels on the screen after getting use to the grey. I'm sure I'll be used to it in a day or so.
When I was reviewing changes I realized my mobil key...
Woke up around 3:50 am, glanced at the phone and saw the update available. Started it, back to sleep, up at 6:05 and it's all done.
It used about 15 miles of range so about 3%
I was on LTE the whole time.
Now time to go play with it.
