Not the same level as Lucid, but Ford is offering a free home charger PLUS free installation on purchases OR leases to move inventory, along with really good lease/loan terms. Desperation? Maybe, but it makes it much easier for their customers and removes some of the barriers to switching to EV.

What would be cool (don’t know if it’s possible) is if you could assign your credits to someone else in exchange for their extra home charger and they can get what they need from the store. It is kinda silly to advertise the offer of the $1000 credit for the charger if you don’t have any...

If you get a Tesla universal charger the adapter is built in to the plug, but the price he gave you is wrong though - it is $550 for the universal, $420 for the standard Tesla only charger.

The beneficiaries will definitely be ICE cars. If you are asking people to change their ingrained behaviors, and spend a lot more to do it, they will just go with that they know. People spending $100k on EVs is a super limited market - if here is pricing parity, then I could see EVs winning...

You don’t think Toyota and other established makers declined because they don’t need the PIF money, and they don’t want to be in business with the Saudis? Lucid absolutely needed the money - otherwise they disappear. Toyota doesn’t.

Should be bad for Tesla and Rivian, good for Lucid. Lucid cars will be $7500 more attractive compared to Tesla, who will really feel the sting. That’s why Elon’s support of Trump is so dumb.

That plug logo doesn’t mean magic dock, it means that non-Teslas can charge with an adapter. Of course, not all non-Teslas, only those that have contracted with Tesla. Magic docks are still few and far between. I’d recommend downloading the Plugshare app and the Superchargers app - they are...

I’d be really cautious about getting a “made in China” adapter on Amazon. It might stink to wait, but I would definitely prefer an OEM version that has been tested and approved by the car manufacturer. Also, I seem to recall that even when Lucid will be able to charge at Tesla supercharger...
