    Gravity Orders Discussion

The color accuracy, white balance, etc. in this photo are terrible, so no need to panic even though this looks like 💩. My sales rep told me that anyone who paid a deposit would be offered a test drive when Gravities (Gravitys?? ;)) arrived in showrooms in Q1, so hopefully we'll know more soon...

    Gravity Orders Discussion

The video on X of the first Gravity rolling off the production line was just the end of the video. Here is a slightly longer video of Vin 001, which is most definitely Aurora Green with a Tahoe interior.

Factory team, I assume. Thanks to everyone who made this possible!

    Gravity Orders Discussion

I believe that Gravity is on a separate production line in the AMP-1 factory expansion they completed this year. Not 100% on this.

If you are referring to the photo at the top of the Electrek article (and not the video on X), then it appears to be one of the pre-production models they were shipping to showrooms around the country. It looks identical to the one I saw in the Scottsdale, AZ design center as well as the one you...

Just a bit of good news to add here. Gravity is the most searched-for new vehicle: Full article here. (Why the Pear was #2 is beyond me.) Of course, leading this list is not a guarantee of anything, but the marketing funnel starts with "awareness" so progress is being made.

    Gravity Orders Discussion

Early adopters are very different buyers from early or late majority buyers. They arepassionate about the product, well-informed, seek out information and opinions, and discuss the product across a variety of venues. These people (many of us here, btw) spread their knowledge for free and are...

    Gravity Orders Discussion

I have not seen any posts in this thread on the potential impact of the new administration's planned tariffs on the auto industry as a whole and Gravity orders in particular. Uncertainty abounds. I re-read my order agreement and, to my non-attorney's eyes, it implies that your price is set when...

    Gravity Orders Discussion

No one in this thread has reported getting any additional info thus far. While I think the complete lack of communication is a mistake, especially given the strong correlation between opinion-makers and early adopters, I know from first-hand experience how hard it is to launch a new product at...

Indeed. The signal-to-noise ratio can get pretty low at times. Nevertheless, I do find it useful to get a sense of the experience and operating the vehicle, which would not necessarily come out in a more concise and/or scripted review. Kyle freely admits his videos are long and sometimes...

    Gravity Orders Discussion

Out of Spec Reviews (YouTube) said in their wrap-up review of the Air that they were getting access to a Gravity to drive right about now. I assume this will be one of the early production models. Hopefully, some third-party reviews from them and others will be forthcoming very soon.

    Gravity Orders Discussion

I saw an Out-of-spec review of this yesterday. It's Hyundai's version of an R1S. The interior has some nice elements and a good overall design, but the exterior styling is gimmicky and seems unfinished. Hyundai makes a solid vehicle, but the software is weak (route planning software is useless)...

    NACS Megathread

Basically, yes. Per Tesla: --- There are 3 types of Tesla Superchargers: Tesla-only Superchargers, which only work for Tesla vehicles. All EVs Superchargers, which are available for all EVs to charge with a “Magic Dock” adapter that is provided at the charging post. NACS Superchargers, which...

Thanks for divulging that - much appreciated. And yes, as an engineer (albeit not an EE) I knew it was nontrivial, hence my concern that it would be fully addressed. I'm glad to hear they are on top of this; being able to utilize the Supercharger network for (hopefully) 250kw charging, and...

CCS and NACS (J3400) use the same protocol, ISO 15118, for vehicle-to-charger communication so there are technically no issues using a CCS DC fast charger with a NACS connector. Check out Out-of-Spec Motoring on YouTube for a lot of road trip charging videos. It's definitely possible using CCS...

I have a CCS-to-NACS adapter from Tesla for this and I have successfully charged at EA and EVGo stations using it. I plan to move it to Gravity unless Lucid has one of their own.

Indeed. I didn't draw a distinction because there are so few V4s deployed so far. Many V4 dispensers, but almost all have V3 chargers. Other cars with 800v architectures have found workarounds for this, either using the motor-inverter in Kia's case, or splitting the pack (eg Chevy Silverado)...

    Gravity Orders Discussion

FWIW, I have been asking multiple sales reps at my local design center as well as Lucid inside sales about the 50kw max charging power issue on Superchargers. The inside sales people have thus far not even understood the problem, and my local reps all say they have not been told by engineering...
