    Investing In LCID

I agree. Think about how foolish the EV strategy is of Ford and GM. They make 120% of their profit on ICE pickups and large SUVs. So why would they canabalize their greatest profit generators with EVs in the same market segment that will loose money for the next 8-10 years? The best use case...

    Regenerative braking

Regen is erratic. Today with 45F temps and SOC 70% I have almost no regen. Settings are Smooth / Regen High. I usually drive with one pedal driving. Regen did not stop the vehicle today. Regen was very consistent and high performing until the last several weeks. It behaves differently now...

    Lease signing date

There are two different issues. One is the reasonableness of signing for and paying for a car that has not yet been delivered, but with a clear understanding of when the delivery will take place. See my post as an example. This is indeed different from buying a car from a dealership and entering...

    Lease signing date

I signed B of A finance docs a week before actual delivery. The car was physically at the delivery center and we were working on scheduling a date for delivery direct to my house. The payments had to clear before transporting the vehicle. That was reasonable. Signing a lease commitment before...

    Upcoming Rivian compact SUV

R2 looks nice. Lucid needs to hurry up and get back into the party.

Just about to road-trip from Phoenix to Colorado Springs, any advice?

ABRP allows for customing several parameters such as m/KWh, min and max SOC %. You can thus force it to be more conservative. I have found it to be a great tool.

Pulled the Trigger on Feb. 29th. ETA approx. 2 ~ 5 months.

The BMW i5 is yet another example of the deep compromises that are forced to occur when leveraging one vehicle platform for multiple models for both EV and ICE propulsion. For the EV variant, weight goes up, range and interior space go down. Style is subjective but with BMW’s current design...

4 out of 5 stylish shoppers with exquisite taste picked Quantum Gray. ( I do like Fathom Blue with platinum trim)

Motor Trend Living a Year with an Air

I am a few days away from my 1 year anniversary with my Touring. 13,500 miles. No quality problems, I have a very well built vehicle. A couple crooked trim pieces that’s it. I have done several road trips and I have experienced very good results with EA. Recently I have been hitting 240kW from...

Who paid to keep Sirius? Most of our 'trials' expire in a few days!

The so called shell game is the whole strategy behind most discounted trial subscription offers the world over. I like Sirius with the host of specialty channels like PGA golf for example. Audio wise not in the same league as Tidal of course.

My experience supercharging with magic dock

On the Tesla app under Charge your Non Tesla I’m looking at a charger in Ann Arbor MI which says 250 kW max and pricing ranges between 28-49 cents per kWh depending on time of day. So the 250 kW power number does not actually apply to non Teslas. Seems disingenuous.

My experience supercharging with magic dock

I see many more Tesla chargers available with CCS. Any recent experiences and advice?

Who paid to keep Sirius? Most of our 'trials' expire in a few days!

Tidal Hi-Fi is excellent high definition resolution. I listen to Sirius as well because I like some of the channels and I already have a subscription for all of our vehicles.

    Charging curve logs post 2.1.52

Very cool data. Thank you for the time and effort doing this analysis. I have not charged with 2.1.52 but I have experienced pretty good charging recently with the newer EA chargers. e.g. Touring starting at about 250 kW and averaging 160 kW for the initial 15 minutes. That’s pretty good for...

    Investing In LCID

Honestly Cosmo, he was not asking for wealth management or portfolio advice, he was asking about Lucid shares.

Many posts on this already. 4.2 in summer. 3.0 at 30-35F. 2.8 at 15F and snow.

    Investing In LCID

The current Lucid product is in a segment that is just not that popular anymore - large sedans. Once the mainstay of automobiles now just a small segment. Smart way to launch but Gravity is coming too slow. I’m confident Gravity will be a success but look it takes a minimum of 500,000 vehicles...

Want to purchase concerned about viability

The Fisker example with all due respect is irrelevant. Lucid is a superbly engineered, quality vehicle and Fisker is not a comparable. Go ahead and lease. I think that is bad advice depending on your time horizon and personal liquidity. Vehicles actually appreciate over a 10-20 year timeframe...

    Preconditioning questions

Good point. Charging warms the battery and regen is one form of charging.
