    Gravity Plan B

I'm waiting for the Gravity to get cheaper and all the bugs to be worked out, I was just saying what I would do if I were him. I agree with you about vehicle expenses. When I get a Gravity I plan on keeping it a long time.

    Gravity Dream Edition Performance

    That's what traction limited acceleration looks like! 0.64s 20-40mph time (that's 1.4g)

    Gravity Dream Edition Performance

I was talking about the 1 foot rollout results. Not sure how much difference 1.8% downhill and extra person will make but they do counteract each other. This is what I'm thinking, the 10mph splits are: .50 .55 .56 .57 .60 .67 If it pulled as hard as the 30-40mph split all the way to 60mph then...

    Gravity Plan B

Sounds like you should do a 24 month lease on an R1S. The Gravity will probably be much cheaper in two years and all the bugs will be worked out.

    Gravity Dream Edition Performance

0-60 of DE is 3.0s per Hagerty. 0-60 of GT is 3.2s with 1 foot rollout per Dragy results. It seems very likely that torque is the same but rolls off at a higher speed on the DE. Having the same torque as the GT allows them to use the same half shafts (axles). The Rivian Quad and Tesla Plaid both...

    Should I make a reservation?

Yeah, no idea. I guess using net cap cost does make more sense when the car is sold for less than msrp. But when the $7500 tax credit goes away does it make sense to say the residual percentage went down?

    Gravity Bugs / Issues

Maybe the problem isn't the wireless technology but the software? I'm biased as an RFIC designer but I bet there are no problems with the supplier (who probably sell to many other manufacturers that have working keys). The root cause is probably incompetent software engineers. :p

Gravity spotted testing on Nürburgring Nordschleife Racetrack (Germany)

Yeah, the Gravity seems to be built for the track. lol. I agree it should be able to set the record barring thermal issues.

Hagerty race: Dream goes 10.5 at 139mph

The Plaids and Rivian both have half shaft issues so that's one downside to more torque. Shorter gearing would also reduce efficiency. It would also be plenty quick for me, I probably only use full power once a day on my Model 3 and the Gravity is significantly quicker.

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

The Model X Plaid is much quicker and faster. Maybe I'm getting old but I can't imagine paying extra money and sacrificing range for faster acceleration that I can only use at insane speeds.

Option to convert a seven seater to a five seater ourselves?

Yeah I would love smaller Gravity with the same performance and comfort but it doesn't exist. Still might get the 7 seat even though I'd probably only use it a couple times a year.

    Should I make a reservation?

Definitely helps but you're still paying the high interest rate on the net. They need a lease where you pay the full price and get the residual back at the end...

    Should I make a reservation?

Same car, two different down payments and assumed that residual and interest rate were the same for both. It seemed to hold no matter what I set the down payment to.

    Lease Gravity

There are infinite number of combinations of interest rates and residuals that generate the same monthly payment. But if you have two monthly payments and down payment quotes and assume that they both use the same interest rate and residual then there there is only one possible interest rate and...

    Lease Gravity

If you have monthly payment quotes for two different down payments you can back out both. Here are the formulas: residual = (term*(monthly_payment_a*net_cap_cost_b - monthly_payment_b*net_cap_cost_a))/(2*net_cap_cost_a - 2*net_cap_cost_b - monthly_payment_a*term + monthly_payment_b*term)...

Hagerty race: Dream goes 10.5 at 139mph

The Rivian is just geared much lower so it has more torque. The compromise is that the motor is spinning faster so horsepower drops off sooner (electric motors lose horsepower at high RPM.)

    Should I make a reservation?

The interest rate is really high. The numbers can be computed by getting two points from the calculator. Here's what it was last time I checked:

    LUCID Gravity Lease vs Finance

Haven't looked into it in much detail. I just go by Out of Spec's 10% challenge as my metric (80mph range after a 15 minute charge). Maybe they improved consistency in Gen 2 but not speed much? I've also heard the Air is not very consistent and Gravity will be much better. Anyway hoping Gravity...
