    Gravity Plan B

True, I have no idea how many people lease and how much extra production capacity Rivian has.

Definitely possible that incentives get worse if demand increases as people rush to buy before end of the tax credit though.

You'll be fine. It's those of us that want to carry 4 mountain bikes that have a problem. E-bike people should just ride to the trailhead. :p I guess removing the battery and carrying it in the trunk would help.

Lucid should add some sort of CAD software to the car so you can simulate your bike and rack. :p I can confirm that bike racks can generate very large torques. I bent my Saris rack with 4 bikes on it, though admittedly I was driving quite fast on a dirt road. I drilled another hole to get more...

All owners should do this and hopefully it will embarrass Lucid enough that they fix it. lol. It is very annoying to back up with a trailer and it would make the total vehicle length too long to park.

600lb is max the tow ball weight (recommended 10% of 6000lb max trailer weight). A bike rack puts the weight much farther out which makes it larger lever and reduces the weight rating to 110lbs.

Going to need to add some anti-gravity to get two e-bikes + rack under 110lbs.

    Gravity Bugs / Issues

Going to pile on and point out that it launched 7 months ago. That the software team can't get keys to work reliably after 7 months is not a good sign. I will also victim blame and say that people should do their research and not buy the car if they care about these bugs. Personally I'm waiting...

I think you’re right but wow that’s a horrible diagram. At first glance it looks like the two balls are there to indicate the upper and lower bounds.

Pretty sure that's a Lucid marketing photo. lol. Also might want some safety chains!

I guess they expect customers to use a trailer to haul their bikes. lol. It is interesting how far from the vehicle the tow ball is. That would seem to violate the whole reason you can't put more than a 110lb bike rack on... Looks like more than 7.5" I guess it shows no one reads the manual.

And it can't even be used to haul more than 2 bikes. Hopefully someone will make an aftermarket hitch like they do for the Model X.

Gravity Dream vs Grand Touring all specifics

Not sure if it's more or less common now, drag strips have a 1 foot rollout. The Gravity GT is 3.2s with 1 foot rollout (with a slight downslope and 2 people in car). Really need to measure the GT and DE side by side to know for sure. If you look at the acceleration of the GT there's very little...

I bet the Hagerty number excludes 1 foot rollout.

Photos (or Video) of the 5-Seat Gravity Cargo Area?

Maybe that would have prevented them from getting the nice round 120cf cargo volume. 🤣 I'm on the fence between 5 seat and 7 seat and this definitely pushes me towards 7 seat. I could just remove the 3rd row and get the same look...

That's obviously a business decision, not an engineering one. I say zero chance that the unibody is different between the two models. I suppose there could be a totally different wiring harness that would be very difficult to replace but I doubt it.

Photos (or Video) of the 5-Seat Gravity Cargo Area?

I was referring to the picture in the configurator showing no slides on the 5 seat configuration. It looks like the sliding mechanism is currently the same for both 5 and 7 seat configurations. I guess they haven't finished making parts for the 5 seat.

Does it have the same sliding mechanism as the 3 row? The configurator shows a different mechanism (no slides in the 2nd row footwell). They definitely skimped on make parts for the 5 seat (e.g. the moulding still had indents for the 3rd row mounts).
