20-ish mile range difference between 5 seat and 7 seat Gravity?

This mystery was solved. When calculating the efficiency the EPA rounds to 500lbs. The 3 row versions are calculated at 6500lb and the 2 row versions are calculated at 6000lb. Very silly.

    Gravity Plan B

I guess it's delayed... This is what their Cayenne EV page says: "The Cayenne EV will be an all-new vehicle for the Porsche brand and we expect to see it debut in late 2025 as a 2026 model."" https://www.caranddriver.com/porsche/cayenne-ev

    Gravity Plan B

Porsche Cayenne EV will probably be the most comparable (and will probably exceed Gravity production this year...) No third row though. Porsche is rumored to be releasing a 3 row SUV next year. Not going to be cheap.

    Gravity Wraps

I don't think I would ever drive a Gravity fast enough off-road that the regular high beams wouldn't be enough...

    June 7th nation wide event

I expect production will really ramp up after the international event in July!

    Gravity Plan B

The Silverado 4WT which has the same drivetrain and battery as the IQ does better in the 10% challenge than Model X (129mi vs. 120mi). It charges 84.3kWh in 15 minutes! I imagine the chances of finding chargers that reliably work at that speed would be an issue though. Also it would cost a fortune.

    Gravity Plan B

Rivian charges about the same as a Model S but is much less efficient so you'd spend much more time charging. My understanding is that Rivians also have thermal issues so they're much less consistent as well. Not sure how a Rivian would get 250kW from a supercharger since Tesla limits current to...

    I bet it's actually 448/448 with a max of 798.

Be patient. What about EQS SUV lease? killer deals on those.

Pretty sure Sapphire has twice the max power in the rear than it has in the front. That's the proper way to design a car for driving forward :) The sum of the max power of each axle can be more than the total max power. Though I'm not sure how you would specify that in these documents.

Makes no sense to lower rear power though. I assume it's some sort of silly reporting rule or misprint and max power to the rear is the same for both.

Dream actually has less rear power?

    Gravity EPA docs are here.

I haven't seen this posted. Here are the EPA docs: https://www3.epa.gov/otaq/datafiles/CSI-TLMUT00.0GL2.PDF https://www3.epa.gov/otaq/datafiles/FOI_TLMUT00.0GL2_APPIPT1_.PDF They do confirm the 500lb quantization hypothesis for range difference between 5 and 7 seat configurations. Anyone know...

How long before all GDEs are delivered?

Traction limited AWD EVs go 0-60 in about 2 seconds. I suppose the torque curve could drop off well before 60mph but I don't think it would make sense to gear it that way.

    Gravity Tire Replacement Comparison

I don't think they're actually making a specific tune for each tire, they're just tuning the car while testing all three tire options. Lickfold's statement is ambiguous. Anyway we'll know soon enough once people start driving them and playing with the configurations.

    Gravity Tire Replacement Comparison

Obviously it's easy to tell the difference between the Hankook Ion and PZ5. I'm talking about setting the car for the PZ5 profile when you have Hankook Ion tires and being able to tell the difference.

    Gravity Tire Replacement Comparison

I want to see someone do a blind test with the different tunings and see if they can tell the difference. :p I'd be curious how the spring rate and damper tuning would vary between tires differently than it would vary between drive modes. How many degrees of freedom do the dampers have? If you...

    Gravity Tire Replacement Comparison

My feeling is that this is all ridiculous. I bet road surface changes traction characteristics way more than different tires in the same class.

    gravity manual?

The Model X which has the same hitch manufacturer and design has a weight limit of 120lbs for bike racks. The Model Y which has an integrated hitch has a weight limit of 160lbs despite having a tongue weight rating of 350lbs (this is the standard 10% of maximum tow rating.)

    gravity manual?

That's what I did for my Model 3, I was annoyed by the "dongle" design so I made a hitch receiver that comes out the valence.
