The Press Embargo Has Been Lifted

Seems like the press is starting to get test vehicles, between Hagerty, and In the Savageese review of the MB G580 EQ wagon they mentioned they had one...

Reevaluating the Lease vs Finance Topic RE BBB

Also, I think the Gravity Touring would qualify for this assuming they keep the price below 80K. "Under the OBBBA, only a small number of new EVs from manufacturers that haven't yet sold 200,000 qualifying vehicles will remain eligible for one additional year."

Reevaluating the Lease vs Finance Topic RE BBB

The current leasing deals for new EVs are pretty bad, and it appears that you don't need to itemize. In fact, the Gravity is squarely in the sweet spot for this type of thing. Let's see what automakers do in a couple months with deal pricing to get this to work...

Reevaluating the Lease vs Finance Topic RE BBB

I feel like this now requires a dedicated thread in light of recent changes. I want to work under the assumption that tax credits are gone. Is the move for Gravity or Air purchase now a financing deal? The new bill gives tax deductions on interest paid/financed of a US made vehicle. Is...

5.0 miles/kWh: Say Hello to the World's Most Efficient Car

Pretty easy to do if you average 37 mph, I don't even think that is the first time someone has tested an Air GT to hypermile it above 700 miles.

Hagerty race: Dream goes 10.5 at 139mph

Hagerty race: Dream goes 10.5 at 139mph

The Gravity looked sleepy on reaction off the line....but it's also got all the top end with better aero and motor top end. For me I prefer that style when rolling into something around 50mph to pass or merge...

    Q2 ‘25 Production/ Deliveries

The tax cuts would help with discretionary income, but rate cuts would help immensely on getting Lease and Financing payments down much more than the tax credit, I was not a fan of it distorting the market and resale anyways. Would be great if they found a permanent CEO sometime soon too.

    What the News is Missing

Yes Rivian has overtaken Model X in sales, Lucid Air has overtaken Model S and I believe GM and Ford have overtaken Cybertruck.

    Tips to Increase mi/kWh??

The HVAC uses 0.75 KW/hr on it's own on fairly low, so try to use ventilated seats and raise the temp a bit. The HVAC will cycle on less that way once the car achieves the target temperature. It uses something like 3kw to just bring the temperature in the cabin from 95 down to 70ish, so can...

    Q2 ‘25 Production/ Deliveries

and I think the ratio is typically 20% GT, 40% Touring, 40% Pure. So if they open Gravity Touring orders I will start to believe they are back on track.

    New Air Touring Owner

Don't forget charging and efficiency. I managed to get them to move my car from a different location to get a 5K 'on-site' delivery discount, but I can go to the studio and speak to a real human and then work with them over email.

Does the AC reduce motor output, similar to an ICE vehicle?

The only time this might happen is if you get down to <1% SOC and you run out of battery voltage (which reduces discharge rate to both systems), but the car will light up with warnings. But really SOC is the thing that affects motor power output the most. Dirty secret of EVs, they tell you to...

What's your internal temp high score?

Yeah I get very concerned about the Screen Electronics when it's been baking in the sun and I touch behind the screen. Been more proactive about a windshield reflective shade these days, leaving a window cracked and the built-in shades up. Can also set it to keep at 85 deg f if really needed...

Kim Java Preview of the Lucid Gravity

There has been plenty of studies that FSD is not a critical feature to 90% of buyers, along with some rather damning statistics on actual usage/subscription rates for Teslas running FSD miles/total miles. I agree with the final comment, there is no reason to actually buy a car that drives...

Gravity spotted testing on Nürburgring Nordschleife Racetrack (Germany)

Agreed, but better they test there anyways from a dynamics standpoint you can go through so many different scenarios. Maybe one of those Gravities has 3 motors:P And I thought the Cayenne Turbo GT would beat the RSQ8 as well?

    Problem worsened by tow driver

It never hurts to ask, although depending on the fine print in the lease contract it may not work out in your favor. Asking for an additional month, or sort of resetting the start date of the lease based on your fixed car maybe the easiest way to come to a fair compromise....
