Android Auto in 2.7.0 - Initial Impressions

Switching Bluetooth off and on would have been faster than restarting the phone, but that didn't work either.

    2.8.0 Software Update

Now all people have to do is skip the first 12 pages to see actual feedback about the update. And it also means that the roll out is happening during the expected time period. Nobody had a realistic expectation of getting it in the first three days, just a desire to. So it's happening on time.

    Tesla supercharging working today?

Take this with a grain of salt because I haven't tested it, and can't test every scenario, If there are instructions in a later post, use them instead. I didn't see much interesting in the PDF instructions, aside from warnings such as "Do not damage the NACS to CCS1 adapter with sharp objects."...

    2.8.0 Software Update

Since the thread is supposed to be about what's in 2.8, how it works, and so on, perhaps the mods could rename the thread to "complaints about 2.8 being late", so that later we can have a thread with this name that's actually useful. It could even start with the release notes, saying release...

Android Auto in 2.7.0 - Initial Impressions

I didn't see any setting in the Lucid, which makes default what happens if you leave it on default. Before I set it to Always, I had to start it manually, so that's apparently the default. With always, it starts on its own, but not always. Sometimes it takes a while. And I have needed to do a...

    2.8.0 Software Update

That's what the backup reserve setting in the Powerwall is used for, but I don't disagree with you that it's good for Lucid to have this. If you set your backup reserve too high, you lose much of the advantage of time shifting grid pull.

    2.8.0 Software Update

It depends on what you mean by complain. It's legitimate to discuss what's working and not working in the update. This thread is full of complaints, and there will likely be some, but I vaguely recall something in the forum rules that leads me to believe that we should be discussing things in...

    2.8.0 Software Update

But they didn't say that. They said that they would start releasing it that day. All customers are told that software is rolled out over a period of several weeks. They never promised that everyone would get it the same day.

    2.8.0 Software Update

I read online somewhere else, but it's a moot point. If someone says that they will be at your house between 7 and 9:30, you don't claim at 7:30 that they are late because you found out that they haven't left the house yet. You wait until 9:30. And if they still aren't there, you recognize...

    2.8.0 Software Update

They didn't. They gave a specific date when the roll out would start. Some people got it. They've been telling us all along that when software is released, it's rolled out over a period of several weeks. If it's not there three weeks after the beginning of the roll out, then there's a reason to...

Lucid added as "coming soon" on Tesla SC network

I'm not sure what you mean by smart adapter. The pins pass through, including the control ones, so it should look the same to both the car and charger as it would if there were no adapter. If you mean an adapter smart enough to switch between AC and DC, it would have to have heavy duty...

    Charge Limit

That wasn't a problem for me with a Tesla. It was an issue a decade ago. With CCS, it's less of an issue with Lucid's range than it would have been without it. But if I go to a remote area where there's a station on the route, but it's the only one on the route in that area, it's going to have...

    Tesla supercharging working today?

I haven't seen any yet. I don't know whether or not I should be surprised. On the one hand, I thought that companies would start adding NACS cables. On the other hand, they might feel that since utilization is already as high as their network can tolerate, at least in the areas where I've used...

    Tesla supercharging working today?

Yes, I heard that Tesla will start rolling them out right after they get FSD working unsupervised.

Gravity Dream Edition "gift box" deliveries?

That's funny. I mean that in the peculiar sense of the word. At least I think so.

    Charge Limit

Mine never showed the rated range from the onset, nor did it lose range (as displayed) in the first year. My real concern is whether I'll ever end up needing an additional charging stop in my life due to range loss. I'm assuming that battery capacity will continue to grow, but even with my 2014...

    Tesla supercharging working today?

My adapter will be here in five days, but in the meantime, the Lucid app is showing me nearby Superchargers. Make sure that you are on the latest app update for Lucid and have turned on Tesla in the filters. With the Tesla app, make sure that you selected Yes for NACS adapter or charge port. The...

Starting to regret getting this car...

The problem is that there are people, myself included, who started carrying a fob because the phone connection was unreliable. And even if it works, I frequently get a message that it's not available as a mobile key because I walked past the car too many times. And there's no switch within the...

Yay Hardware upgrade CPU and memory

That's pretty soon. I made an appointment shortly after the announcement and I'll have mine done on the 5th. Then again, there are probably more Lucids where I live.

Yay, Tesla charging … July 31!

That was a problem, but most EA chargers I've used since I bought the car have been reliable. The exception was at locations with physically broken connectors. They show up in apps as available, people go to that location thinking that there's no crowd, and there ends up being a long line. I...
