Yay Hardware upgrade CPU and memory

I didn't see it either, but Lucid emailed me, and presumably everybody who might be interested. It would be nice if the app showed potential upgrades but I haven't seen any so far.

    2.8.0 Software Update

I can see the part above the steering wheel that looks at my face. When I get in the car, it shows me the green check mark. I could try lowering the steering wheel even more to see if it makes a difference, but at that point, the steering wheel will be blocking my view of the glass cockpit. I...

    2.8.0 Software Update

I got that message yesterday. Then a few hours later, perhaps around 8pm, it showed up as available again. I did the update and about 50 minutes later it was done.

    2.8.0 Software Update

I don't get close to that. I get a paper credit equal to the TOU rate for when I send it back. But that really means that I can get power back later at a cheaper rate, such as by charging at night, and use that balance more slowly than if I charged during the day. But when true up time comes...

Lucid Air as a home battery backup

One of the problems with the whole thing is that rather than all companies going by a given standard, each does it on its own. I have a Powerwall gateway. It has the information that Lucid would need. It gets information about my solar, power coming from or going to the meter, from/to the...

    Confusion with Tesla charging

But still, following the directions on the Tesla app should work, and if it doesn't, it's a problem. Some people might want to use the Tesla app and not pay through the Lucid app. In my case, I have a huge credit balance with Tesla from a referral credit, and other people are paying Tesla a...

    Home Charger Recommendation?

I have an 80A Tesla wall connector. They no longer make them though, and it's probably been close to a decade since Tesla made cars that support 80A from an AC connection. There might be some for sale on the used market, or even a new one that somebody never got around to installing. They can...

Easiest way to open up trunk (not frunk)?

If the person approaching has a fob or a smartphone, it should unlock automatically if set to do so, but doesn't always do that. I was told that pushing the door handle would take care of it in those cases. If that's true, then the only thing keeping the trunk button from doing the same thing is...

    2.8.0 Software Update

It's a given that hands free will work only in areas where it's supported. There have been a number of reports of it working for many miles, but I expect that there will be some locations less amenable that don't comply with the requirements for it to be available. Thanks for the feedback...

    2.8.0 Software Update

They didn't understand deliver because they didn't make specific promises for specific features when they sold it. Rawlinson did mention at the earnings call that the car would have hands free, and I got it within five days of the announced beginning of rollout, which is relatively early...

    2.8.0 Software Update

Mine was showing very slow progress. It didn't make it to 2 hours before it failed. But when I retried it later, it was fast.

    2.8.0 Feedback Only!

Mine ended up failing with a message saying that there's nothing I could do about it. Later that evening, it showed that I was in 1.1.4 and that the update was available. 54 minutes later, it was done. I have no idea what to read into it.

    2.8.0 Software Update

Here it is a few hours later and they are updating it from 1.1.4 to the 2.8.0.. Presumably it jumped back to 1.1.4 when they replaced the hardware, so it seems like they were wrong yet again on an estimate. They did have all the doors, hood and frunk open for a couple of hours before that so...

    2.8.0 Software Update

It depends. Are they taking an extra two minutes ahead of time before the two hours start, or are the two hours going by without finishing, and the update needing an extra two minutes? If it's the latter, I'd say that Lucid has some explaining to do. If it's the former, I'd say that the software...

    2.8.0 Feedback Only!

That's longer than usual, and I'm not sure what goes into determining the length. It it were simply a matter of replacing an old release with a new one, they'd all take a long time. My app is showing the same two hours to upgrade from 1.1.4. But it's not necessarily accurate.

    2.8.0 Software Update

They will probably do it on my car. The app shows that it's ready for update, but they won't give me back the car for I don't know how many days. Then I'll have the CCCv2 upgrade and hands free. They really need to improve their scheduling system though. If they can't get to my car for a few...

    Tesla supercharging working today?

Yes, in theory, the instructions I posted above will work with either the Lucid or Tesla app at some point in the future. I still haven't tested it. I got the adapter, but I need to wait for Lucid to give me my car back after the upgrade for CCCv2. Millbrae says it will take a few hours but...

    Tesla supercharging working today?

It's not so simple because that's not necessarily what the user wants. In my case, I have credit in my Tesla wallet from a referral. A person who signs up for tesla's $12.99/mo membership will get better prices and would probably use that account for multiple EVs if the person has them. I don't...

    Neocharge Splitter --anyone?

It works well for me too. I also start with the Lucid, not because it's driven more, but because it worked better that way when I set it up. It's been over a year and Lucid might have changed the way they do things, so it might not matter. These days, Tesla gives a lot of native flexibility for...

    2.8.0 Software Update

Did you tell her that she was being hysterical? Women are so much more emotional than men. That's unless you count anger as an emotion, in which case I think men might be the emotional ones.
