    Unlocking with mobile key unreliable

I'm having some of the same issues, namely that carrying the fob doesn't necessarily improve things, and the car doesn't consistently open when the fob is in range even though double tapping works. I had Lucid service at my house for something unrelated, and when this came up, I was told that...

    Unlocking with mobile key unreliable

It's fair to mention how Lucid compares to other vehicles, and that includes Tesla. Nobody complained about posts I've made pointing out what Lucid does better than Tesla, which is a lot. However, the point about a Tesla reacting to fobs and smartphones consistently merely points out what should...

Perhaps, but it comes down to what's patented. Having an additional conventional anchor, and allowing the support rod to tilt up wouldn't make it like Tesla's.

Removal of Alexa in 2.4.x software

Amazon does make money from Alexa more indirectly. I might not use Alexa to place orders, but there are many Alexa compatible devices that I bought on Amazon that I wouldn't have bought otherwise. Other things like major appliances and cars that have Alexa aren't things that I bought through...

    2.4.0 / 2.4.2 / 2.4.3 / 2.4.4 OTA

There are other threads about this. Aside from whether it's addressed by adding Android Auto, a native Amazon Music app, more intelligence or anything else, I find it hard to believe that Lucid didn't anticipate this sort of reaction and take proactive steps to tell people who rely on Alexa for...

    2.4.0 / 2.4.2 / 2.4.3 / 2.4.4 OTA

They'd still have to add the ability to move it back and forth with an app or with the fob. That can actually be a useful feature, although I've never had a need for Tesla's smart ass summon. Lucid is ahead of what that Tesla does in many ways, including lane biasing, not having the system...

It is if you want to fight littering. Put litter in its place. Of course you could also do that by insulting litter when you see it. Tell it that it's nothing but trash.

Get them each a smartphone and some ear buds. Then encourage them to sing along with the music.

Removal of Alexa in 2.4.x software

I went back and reread the articles that mentioned it, and they were based on a job listing that said "Fulfill responsibilities of Product Owner for Apple, Amazon Music and other Media app partners." I just checked the job listing that was quoted in numerous articles, and that one was later...

Removal of Alexa in 2.4.x software

Tesla supports Amazon Music and it didn't take them much more than a decade to add it. I l suppose that some people think that farting sounds were worthy of a higher priority, but I disagree. But Tesla won't let me ask general questions unrelated to the car, and Alexa does. Plus, in a pinch, I...

Removal of Alexa in 2.4.x software

I would have bought the car without Alexa, and while it's a problem in the interim, it's far from a show stopper. The biggest advantage of Alexa for me was the ability for me to open or close my garage door with a voice command, but putting Homelink menu items on the screen when in reverse and...

Supposedly, they are adding Amazon music as a choice in the future.

Moving them to the sides and then sliding them back all the way on the rods does the most to remove them from view. They don't tuck away like the ones on a Model X, so they aren't gone completely, and it would have been nice if the connector pivoted a bit, but it's as close as you can get. The...

Removal of Alexa in 2.4.x software

Alexa Auto works, as does the Alexa phone app, as long as you set your audio source to Bluetooth. But that keeps you from setting it to anything else and being able to hear Alexa.

Removal of Alexa in 2.4.x software

Amazon is not letting Alexa die. They are actively working on it and even coming out with an enhanced (paid) level. Rumors were based on an unsubstantiated article. Amazon did lay off members of its Alexa team, but it was part of a broad layoff that affected members of teams across the board...

    RESOLVED Android Auto Thursday

True, and they've probably lost a lot more sales due to Dream Drive lagging what some people expect. I know somebody with an early reservation who never bought one because of that. He happens to be an Android user too, not that it affected his buying decision.

Confirmed: Android Auto coming this fall!

Hopefully, Lucid is on the cusp of completion and said "Fall" to give themselves plenty of wiggle room. So far, they have avoided the Tesla route of promising things and not delivering. I think that we all anticipated most of what was in 2.4, except for "Hey Lucid", and that was true a year ago...

    RESOLVED Android Auto Thursday

Average selling price is irrelevant. What's relevant is that Lucid buyers more likely have high end phones, and iPhones aren't cheaper than Android in that arena. Some people in my family have iPhones. Some have Android phones. And it has nothing to do with affordability. I don't think that a...

Actual Mileage Efficiency: Real World Drive Anaheim to Palo Alto

I agree, but I'd call it EPA range miles rather than projected ones, since Lucid isn't saying that you should expect to get rated range when driving on the freeway at 75+ mph. A big portion of the most likely route has a speed limit of 70 mph for a substantial part, with few cars going under 75...
