Lucid Air aftermarket Hifi upgrade summary (and quality / configuration of the factory audio)

All, I've had more work done to my Lucid in the chase to see the art of the possible. Sharing here so others can get an idea for what great can look (sound) like. Part 5 - Subwoofer, better Power Amplification. The work has been done in phases since i last posted. Step 1.) Custom subwoofer...

Fellow base(d) sound system owners - any impressions/recommendations?

Correct myself, 400 watts on the dsp is probably a 8x50 output situation. now that i think of it, it's probably something like 4 active channels 4x50 watt 2 channels passive crossover door or rear deck 2x50 and maybe a bridged midbass 2x50 = 100 watts. Total guess though, afaik lucid had...

Fellow base(d) sound system owners - any impressions/recommendations?

Don't have a base, but look at what's advertised it has 9 instead of 21 speakers for SSP and working backwards. I know for a fact that they decontented the base by removing one of the two DSP amplifiers compared to the SSP. (half the power) To get from 21 to 9 likely they dropped: 2 center...

Well if they are maxed on policy limit yeah you are hitting your insurance which limits to coverage as stated. Liability is different, but not sure if that’s the case for op.

Other party admitted fault? State Farm doesn’t get to decide what they want to pay, they need to pay damages that make you whole. (Unless Florida does something weird here) At the minimum it should be replacement value of the vehicle. If the depreciation wipes out your down payment, then you...

Damage from an entry gate, $20,000 repair!!! (local certified Lucid shop.)

Wow 3200 is a great price. Curious, did you see their per hour rate / did they need to replace the quarter panel? How much was labor vs parts? I’ve seen 3200 for high end shops just to patch paint, and blend without any parts being replaced. Same same idea this type of shop would do Aston...

Damage from an entry gate, $20,000 repair!!! (local certified Lucid shop.)

Oh the panel is ripped. I thought it was just dented from the other image. I can see how it gets up there then. Patch and paint for a high end car i would have thought is a ~5k job, but if they have to remove the entire quarter panel, repaint it, blend it into the bumper I can see how it gets...

Damage from an entry gate, $20,000 repair!!! (local certified Lucid shop.)

Not sure i'd trust myself to make it look nice given the zenith red is a 4 layer with a tinted clearcoat. But nonetheless, a decent body shop should be able to make it look new for a lot less than 20k. Did they say why the fender is not repairable? I get aluminum, but i've had teslas filled...

Yeah you might want to think about just eating the deposit loss, I don’t think you are going to come out ahead based on how the market looks.

Air Conditioning not cooling the car enough

It works fine, not as fast as my Lincoln aviator which with the ventilated seats feels like a full blown chiller, but it gets the job done.

Air Conditioning not cooling the car enough

My air conditioner finally works. After two shop visits and 3 weeks of diagnostics they found that the compressor was shorting / grounding so even though the Vcu indicated it was running, it was not actually getting signal. They replaced the compressor and now it blows cold. Seems adequate...

New Touring vs Used Grand Touring

I had the same experience (Have a touring with a GT Loander, but different preference. Really happy with my Touring) The extra backseat legroom is a real difference maker and the car handles and rides noticeably lighter. I also noticed the the off the line pickup was a little quicker in the...

    RESOLVED AC blowing hot air

My car has the same issue, bringing it in next week for a more detailed inspection. on a 74 degree day the cabin won't drop below 90 degrees without opening the windows. Supposedly they tested the compressor last time. Seems like no refriedgerant.
