    Too Frustrating

    Respectfully, your expectations were unjustified on a few of those fronts. You're made about features which nobody said were there. It's painful to see someone complaining about a car that they didn't research before purchasing. Simply expecting a car to have certain features because it's a...

    let's talk about folding mirrors

    I'm a big user of the folding mirrors due to my narrow garage door. If the mirrors are out, I have less than 1" clnc on each side, a bit of a non-starter with a tight turn into the garage to begin with. As such, use the folding function every single time I arrive home. There are times I'll...

    Yay Hardware upgrade CPU and memory

    more responsive UI. Specifically less delay between when you input a command and receive the desired response. It's the difference between a slow computer and fast computer. That's what it means in the short term. Long term, there might be a time where certain software features are ONLY...

    Hands free Drive Assist! Jul 30. Air first!

    ...no different than it is right now, would be my guess, unless this revision also contains refinements to the model.

    Tinted Windows and Lease Return

    I don't recall the specifics, but I recall reading at least once instance of someone who ended up shorting out some of the electronics during their tint installation as well.

    Hands free Drive Assist! Jul 30. Air first!

    I'm sure that'd be nice, but as someone who has spent quite a bit of time using Drive Asst on recent long trips, I'd say this IS pretty awesome. If you're not actively driving (ie, you are using Drive Assist), it's frustrating to have to keep hands on wheel.

    Hands free Drive Assist! Jul 30. Air first!

    Agreed on Senty, disagree on hands free. As @HC_79 said, it's a mistake to write off the entire system and never revisit it. It being less than perfect does not mean it's unusable. Also, half of the comments in that video appear to show a lack of understanding of its operation (or don't take...

    Hands free Drive Assist! Jul 30. Air first!

    I took the cagey-ness to imply that it was definitely coming, and not too far away, lol.

    DDPremium->DDPro Upgrade Path

    I don't think people are complaining that premium doesn't have the features. I think they're wanting an attractive upgrade path in the small % of cases where the hardware IS in the car, but the feature isn't enabled (I think it was with the idea of offering demo access to DDPro and the higher...

    DDPremium->DDPro Upgrade Path

    The number of instances where the hardware is already there but the vehicle doesn't have the option is limited to a subset of '22 GT's if memory serves. I hope they don't go for the subscription model and stick with the one-time purchase. I think a reasonable upgrade cost that accounts for the...

    Locked Out until run the update?

    Put me down as "there's no way." Some of the updates take over an hour to run...there's 0% chance they will arbitrarily lock you out of the car to force you to accept an upgrade. Knowingly denying you entry to your own vehicle could be a potential safety issue, on top of being a massive...

    Hands free Drive Assist! Jul 30. Air first!

    I feel bad for Customer Care. Phone boards are going to light up on Jul 30 on 12:01am...."well!!?!?! Where is it?!!" I've not been in a rush for the last few updates, especially 2.7.1, but it's going to be TOUGH to sit tight for what I assume will be 2.8.0. Mercifully, while I used to typically...

    Hands free Drive Assist! Jul 30. Air first!

    It's great news, but all the signs were there that it was coming relatively soon. The tough part was knowing HOW soon. So, I guess in that regard it was unexpected that they have put out a release with a firm date. Very exciting and a huge, huge step forward. I've put on 17k miles in just over a...

    Hands free Drive Assist! Jul 30. Air first!

    Yes, the eye tracking is likely a requirement for regulatory compliance. Hands-free is not meant to imply that you don't need to monitor the system at all. My guess is they wouldn't be allowed to release the feature without the eye tracking capability. This was also referenced at the owner event...

    Hands free Drive Assist! Jul 30. Air first!

    I share your enthusiasm. However, while there was a plethora of evidence that hands free Drive Assist was being actively developed across two separate owner events that I attended, I don't get the sense that dashcam/sentry is right around the corner. As much as we've all been waiting for hands...

    https://media.lucidmotors.com/en/newsitem/1033-lucid-adds-hands-free-drive-assist-and-hands-free-lane-change-assist-as-next-step-in-adas-ad-roadmap Can't believe it's being released for the Air first. How exciting!

    Yay Hardware upgrade CPU and memory

    Imagine your screen being more responsive than it is now? Is that worth $90? It likely depends how slow you think it is now. I personally find it to be fine as is.

    Yay Hardware upgrade CPU and memory

    the don't do the upgrade until those features actually become available for the Air....and then see if they require the upgraded chip. If that is truly your only concern, then simply wait and see as there is no advantage to pulling the trigger early.

    Yay Hardware upgrade CPU and memory

    The whole point of this upgrade is to bring the older models up to the same level of performance within that particular system as the newer models. You have a '25...that's about as new as it gets.
