Has anybody been able to confirm that when you can't get in to drive going to the pilot screen and pressing “Openings > Lock vehicle button”, fixes it. ?

Oh that's interesting. I haven't but your theory is that the car is drivable but that the cockpit screen is just frozen. Interesting.

Ironically I started cooling the car yesterday and when I got to it and got in, it was the first time the car didn't go in to drive when not on charge. So "waking" it didn't seem to help

I wish they could just pull the telemetry from the VIN remotely and analyze ! I would hope there is boot up logging that can be remotely requested and reviewed.

Yeah my thought is that from a deep sleep there's something the car is waiting for an "ok" on, that now seems to take longer.

That’s an interesting theory. I believe my fob has a new battery as it was replaced as part of my yearly maintenance a few years ago. However the more this happens the more I think the vehicle isn’t “ready” yet because of something it’s waiting for.

I love the built in sun blinds.

My observation is that its better/quieter at certain speeds and driving conditions. Haven't quite worked out what those are yet, but there times where I definitely don't hear the whine when I did before.

Yeah. I think it’s hung doing something or waiting for something in the vehicle.

Unfortunately I only use the fob and it still happens to me when removing off charge. Hasn’t happened so far when not on charge. (Fingers crossed)

@borski had a good triage idea. Can we all post their Air spec to see if there’s anything common in our Drive issues. For me… 2024 Air Touring; DD Premium, Surreal Sound. 19” wheels. Aluminum roof.

They’ve definitely made code changes to the main cockpit display, as can be seen by the smoother Charge/Power animation as well as the smoother left/right camera in 2.6.16. I’m one of those that’s had the car fail to go on to drive twice now, after charging. Never had a problem in the last year...

This did start happening after I received a “Rear emergency Breaking Unavailable” warning the day after upgrading. I rebooted a couple of times to clear it and the next morning got this. Anybody else get the emergency break warning as well?

I will be interested to hear what your service appointment says.
