How much it cost me for 8,520 miles

I am with you. No surprises on resale levels for cars around our initial price. Of course, how does one measure the pure joy of driving an Air vs. virtually anything else available for any price? Also, the operating cost of the Air will vary as discussed in the comments above, but is still lower...

How Much Range Are You Actually Getting?

Well, in July I charged in Frisco then drove to Leadville and back to Broomfield, about 100 miles, and got 4.2 miles per kWh. Also, there is nothing puny about the hills in NH of VT except that those roads are not crowded like those in CO, but there can be a big difference in driving habits. I...

How Much Range Are You Actually Getting?

My charging after 30 minutes of preconditioning on a 350 kWh EA station never is above 60 kWh for more than a moment starting from 40% SOC. (A local Pure owner pulls 300 kWh at the same 350 kWh charger.) So charging takes about a half hour to about 70%. Efficiency is in the low 2s at best with...

Would the Cali bear placement bother you?

I like my bear decals and they are uniformly placed. It is a pity that Lucid did not make them in sets with a left and right front-facing bear. To me, it is a very distinctive addition and statement.

Quantum Grey vs. Cosmos Silver survey

I waited last year for Cosmos Silver. The Santa Cruz interior is perfect. I like all the AGT colors.

    Q3 production and deliveries?

    @Troll. Please clarify your point.

    Q3 production and deliveries?

One has to wonder if the price reductions across the EV industry are causing potential buyers to wait. We know the AGT retail price history and it is not pretty for us early adopters. We do not need to be convinced that the Air is a superior vehicle to any other even close to its current prices...

How Much Range Are You Actually Getting?

Bravo on the 4.8 mi/kWh. For me: One year, 14,000 miles in all types of weather and in all types of terrain and 3.4 mi./kWh. I have gotten 4+ efficiency on steady-speed level terrain highway driving in 70-degree weather. Regular around-town driving is in the low 3s or high 2s.

Colorado Meet Up and Drive (October 14th or 15th?)

I plan to go tomorrow to the Stanley Hotel lot as Joec suggested above. After that whatever works best for a drive and lunch.

I plan to go. Who else is planning to meet at the Stanley Hotel lot?

Colorado Meet Up and Drive (October 14th or 15th?)

Sunday is fine with me. although Sat. is better. Traffic will probably be heavy on both days. Five minutes of darkness is an exciting event so no determent for me.

    LUCID Ceramic Brake Upgrade?

I rarely use the brakes in my AGT and have not been tested on their stopping power. My gut is that they are not as powerful as Porsche breaks either CCBs or iron rotors, but they are not designed for closed-circuit use, like Porsches. So, I leave more space between me and the car ahead. Carbon...

To Spare or not to Spare

The 20" wheels were my preference also but were not available last fall when I got my car. I am not sure that winter compound tires to fit the Lucid 20" wheels were available last winter anyway so the 19s got me through the New England winter on Sotto Zeros. The 20s with the right pressure ride...

To Spare or not to Spare

    I have not researched alternatives.

To Spare or not to Spare

I have had an EZ Spare and used it once in my garage. I got the EZ Spare before alternatives were available last fall. It fits nicely in the bottom of the frunk. Unless there is a sidewall failure it is better to use an air pump to restore the tire to drive a short distance to a repair facility...

What does everyone think of one-pedal driving in EVs?

One-pedal driving is very predictable and easy. I rarely need to use the brakes. It is also nice to watch the charge increase on long descents when leaving high elevations in CO. It definitely takes the sting out of the inefficiency when ascending those mountains. I recently drove an ICE car...

    RESOLVED Is motor whine normal?

I favor the whine as I expressed above in previous posts with a comparison to sports exhausts of an especially effective one that grew tiresome. What I like about my AGT is that the whine conveys the power of the motors. I do not know if it is just the front motor that one hears or the rear or...

    Driving in heavy rain

It is not just snow and ice but when the temperature falls below 40 degrees the compound hardens and even on dry surfaces has less than optimal traction. Winter compound tires stay pliable and the tread design provides traction in ice and snow. Stopping distances are much less than on summer...
