Oh there is no competition in the handling, the gen 1 taycan spanks any EV I’ve driven. It’s night and day and the lucid handles amazingly but it’s different leagues. Especially with rear wheel steer and pdcc.

This is normal behavior. You’ll get used to it but if you’re coming from something like Tesla, it does feel a little weird at first.

Yeah I held the opinion of "Lucid is not ready for the general consumer yet" for a very long time. It has gotten better as time has progressed but the key issue and AC issue make air a hard sell for the general consumer. Yeah your second part covered what I was going to say. The car has to wake up regardless as it stands now. So not much changes there. I also think that Tesla has its cars always on so the wake up process doesn’t need to happen. Trade off is passive battery loss. No way of getting around that...

@borski Does the api expose the charge port door control? If so, the easier way to do this would be to tape some smart button to the charger or wall that makes the call out. Easy and much more straightforward.
