    Tesla superchargers

42kW is all you'll get at current Tesla superchargers. You can read more about this in the other NACS charging threads.

Yay, Tesla charging … July 31!

Many existing CCS charging providers' stations (EA, EVGo, etc) are 350kW max and can charge faster than any public Tesla supercharger. Newer non-Tesla CCS / NACS stations are typically 400kW. Remember that the Air is limited to 50kW max on current Tesla stations though.

Yay, Tesla charging … July 31!

Tesla Supercharging does require interaction with Lucid's app. More importantly, not all Supercharger stations are compatible with non-Tesla vehicles. If a Supercharger location doesn't show up in Lucid's phone app, that location isn't compatible with the Air or Gravity.

Yay, Tesla charging … July 31!

Did Lucid's app list that particular supercharger location as compatible? I'd wait for Lucid's adapter to arrive, then try it out. By then, more details should be available on exactly how to initiate a charge manually - or plug'n'charge might be working, which would be easier.

    Tesla supercharging working today?

I'd like to suggest adding explicit step-by-step details for how to charge at a Tesla Supercharger, including phone app screenshots, to the section "Charging at Tesla Superchargers", unless plug-n-charge is truly imminent.

    Tesla supercharging working today?

I'd like to 1000% this. Not to mention personal safety issues with some poorly made adapters that do not have adequate interlocks.

    Tesla supercharging working today?

Gravity don't need no steeeking adapter 500A on a 1000V NACS or CCS station 500A on a 450V NACS station

    Tesla supercharging working today?

Depending on the Air version, around 400A peak, for a few minutes on a 1000V charging station. Closer to 120A on a 450V charger but for potentially a couple hours.

    Tesla supercharging working today?

Once it has passed CSA/UL testing, it seems reasonable for the Air. I wouldn't use it on a 400V vehicle that could draw 500A.

How to initiate Supercharging using Lucid's phone app?

    I'll look carefully next time!

    Tesla supercharging working today?

I chose a supercharger location with only two stalls in use out of 32.

    Tesla supercharging working today?

The big new players - Ionna, Walmart, Mercedes-Benz, are installing 400kW dual-connector NACS/CCS stations. I've read that EA is doing the same for site upgrades, but I believe this is just getting started. I don't think you'll see many new installations of CCS-only stalls after this year.

How to initiate Supercharging using Lucid's phone app?

Before plugging in, or after? I tried both and didn't see a prompt. I did see that the stall ID my car was plugged into said "In Use" in the app.

How to initiate Supercharging using Lucid's phone app?

FWIW to others, to initiate charging using Tesla's app, find the charging location in the app, select the charging stall in the app, press "Start Charging", and follow the onscreen instructions for plugging in the cable and adapter.

And other vendors are rolling out 1000V NACS stations already. No need to wait for Tesla.
